“This is a great campground. Plenty of fishing and other activities to do. Frisbee golf course is an awesome picturesque place to have fun. Plenty of great campsites to relax in. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Restrooms and shower houses are nice, and kept clean. Big lake for boating, kayaks, and fishing. Beach and campground store were nice too. Lots of biking paths too. Will definitely be going back.”

“This is now a campground owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is being refurbished by volunteers and turning out very nice! Any member of the church can reserve a site and invite friends. It is also used for many boys and girls camps during the summer. It's very beautiful and the amenities are constantly improving! They even have an 8-person cabin with AC and everything!”

“I had never heard of Silver Lake before this weekend and I am hooked! This is a beautiful, no-wake lake that is perfect for that easy pontoon ride or, better yet, kayak trip. Beautiful sand beach with roped off area for the kids. We were visiting relatives, but this looks like a wonderful place to live too.”

“It's so beautiful we will be back. There is plenty of parking with restrooms at the parking lot. Some lots only had outhouses, but when you got to go, you got to go. Trails were wide and well kept as well as well marked. Plenty to see from woods to creeks, fields, and wild flowers, not to mention bridges and the old spill ways. Bring a hat in some areas you are in open fields with full sun.”

“Just 5 min off of the interstate, this is a great park. They have some older playground equipment from maybe around the 70s which was fun to see and the kids really enjoyed it. They also have a newer section that was very nice. They have some benches for adults to sit on. There are a lot of picnic tables including a large pavilion! There is a dog park on site as well. I saw many people walking their dogs on leashes. There was a walking path but we didn't check that out so I couldn't say how far it went. The restrooms were very clean! The park sits in a nice area and seemed very safe. I saw two policeman patrol the park while we were there. I highly recommend this park!”

“Took a nice late afternoon walk in Pehkokia Woods after a heavy rain the day before. The trail was in great shape, no muddy spots. Saw several deer and other animals, it was very calming and beautiful, a nice little reset.”

“Beautiful trails! Some are needing to be fixed and reopened due to flooding only reason in giving 4/5 stars. The mill is free and open everyday but Mondays. During the summer they will run the mill and you can watch them make flour. Great family activity and great place to take photos”

“This place has been a blessing over the years, most recently I had family come up from Florida for a wedding. They just needed a place to park the motorhome for a few bucks. Cottonwood is a No frills camping location providing a basic tent or RV location for weekend plans in the area. This is a Budget freindly option when you have more important things to focus on. “This campground is very nice. There is a lot of space between the sites. The bathrooms are clean. There is no wifi but we didn't mind. One thing ng is to get here, use the directions from your phone and not the GPS in your RV or car. We found out the hard way that it took us the wrong way and you most definitely don't want to be on those roads with an RV.”

“Hard to find (minimal signange) but we were happy with our visit. My 10 year old is a beginner skateboarder and it was hard for her to practice here. It is still a nice skatepark with ramps, drops ins a couple of rails and a bowl. It is just a little advanced for her skills.”
