“This is a really cool place. We stop in while they were having one of their tractor shows it was really neat. They had tons pedal tractors along with a lot of other really nice antique tractors. Most of the tractors were in really good shape. They had several food vendors. We stopped and got ourselves some tenderloins they were really great! They also have a really nice place to camp. Friendly staff! I would highly recommend this place!”

“Hidden Gem Sites are tight, but the ones over looking the river are worth it. We camped there in September 2020 and had a site along the Ohio River. We had our 2 German Shepherds with camping with us. We brought our Jet Skis and rode on the river for two days. I had pulled a muscle in my back when we first arrived. The camp hosts were super nice to us and brought our firewood to my site. The showers were nice and clean (especially for a city park). We had a great time and I look forward to going back.”

Crown Point Dog Park

“There's a show on TV that says " I train the owner not the dog ". I think it would be nice to have him come to show people how to pick up what they're dog puts out. Just saying. If it wasn't for the lazy people the park would be a 5* attraction.”

“Cinco stars all around! Hard to get going though. Not clearly marked. It would be nice if the map included clear locations as well as marked on signs in the park. A logical frame of reference on where to start would be sweet. But I had a super time and met some cool people and did some awesome jumps and trails. I will go back there again in a heartbeat”

Leo-Cedarville Town Park

“My sister and new brother in law were married in the lovely indoor pavilion. The huge fireplace and exposed wood beams are beautiful, and could be decorated to be a little elegant or charmingly rustic. There is a kitchen for the catering company to do what they need to do. They had only about 40 guests, and the room was full, so it's great for smaller events. The only thing I didn't care for was the restrooms for the park are located in the small lobby right outside the doors for the space, and one mom and her kids actually came into my sister and brother in law's rented space to use the bathrooms that are for that space, which is completely unacceptable. Also, the noise from the lobby and playground very nearby was loud at times. Overall, very nice, but it should be posted clearly in the lobby that park guests are not to enter the event space, and sound proofing wouldn't hurt.”

Old Mill Canoe Rental - Blue River (OMCR)

Address: 5 US-150, Fredericksburg, IN 47120, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“The owner operator of this business is a very intelligent man. He's very resourceful and actually cares about the environment that he works in. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to just get out and do kayaking for the first time, or get in a canoe for their 50th time. It's a very pleasant three mile canoe ride down the river. And we even got a ride back. The time we called him he was there within 5 minutes that's impressive in my book.”

Drakes Ridge Rustic Nudist Retreat

“This was the first place my woman and I have been to like this. It was an amazing experience. Everyone was extremely welcoming and supportive and helped us out anytime they could since we came very unprepared because we was new to it. Within the first five minutes we forgot we wasn't even wearing clothes they made us feel so welcome. It's a very peaceful, quiet and pretty place. I definitely recommend going here for anybody that's new to it but still a little nervous like we was.”

The campground is extremely nice, maintained, and clean. The washer and dryer room is so nice to have access to and there is a beautiful pool. Their son Grant also owns a small business with RV repair and cleaning at the campground. He washed our roof and exterior of our camper and exceeded all expectations. If you ever find yourself in southern Indiana I would definitely recommend staying here and even having Grant wash your camper.”

“I spent a week out here. The owners are really a great group, they treated me like I was family. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited in my life. I volunteered my time, cleaning trails and cutting dead trees. They don't get paid to do any of the things they do. You can tell that they would give you the shirt off their backs. I had the pleasure of meeting the whole family & most of the neighbors. I'm a State Trooper. It was nice they aloud me to be apart of their family for a weekend. I don't know how they manage to do all the work they have and keep up with anything else in life. They stay busy up early and working late most nights. I seen the guys picking up trash off the County & State roads. Plus, cutting fire wood, farm work that never ends.. Good Job!!”

Kokiwanee - ACRES Land Trust

Address: 5825 E 50 S, Lagro, IN 46941, USA

Park

“We have visited twice so far and have really enjoyed the beauty of the trails and the nature that surrounds them. The trails are mostly unmarked once you start out on one so you just have to wander until you get the lay of the land. We felt like we had a better idea of where we were the second time than we did the first even though we were on mostly new trails. All the trails that we found going down to the waterfalls or lower trail were somewhat difficult with small kids and lots of mud (spring right now), but there may have been some trails we missed so we'll have to go back again for more exploring. Even though there were a couple rough patches and unmarked trails we still very much enjoyed our visit.”

“Beautiful place, unfortunately people have littered it up, but it is very worth the trip. It's a great place to get in touch with nature. I also advise that you dress appropriate to the weather. If it has rained within the week I would wear some rain boots and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. Also remember your car, you will have to get back in it, mud is a problem.”
