“The experience is more than I expected. It is a room with a couple of salt walls, but there is an actual "thing" that dispenses a mist of hymalayan salt into the air. It is awesome and it feels wonderful! I felt like I could breath much deeper for days. There is also some kind of special music playing. If I were to try to explain it I couldn't. You'll see (better yet, hear) what I mean when you have your own session. Also, Ashley who runs the studio is a doll. She is kind and accommodating. “This church reminds me of what Calvary Revival church used to be. The pastor is relatable to every age, race, singles or couples. They have a come as you are type of love and peace. Children’s church and so many other amazing programs throughout the year. You can wear church clothes with the big hats or go in jeans and sneakers because ALL are welcomed the same. Family oriented with a huge community outreach. If your seeking a new church or you just don’t feel the same way about the one you currently belong to, then I challenge you to attend just once. See for yourself why this was the easiest decision I’ve made in a long time. The drive is beautiful and my soul is fed long after I’ve left. “We had our work Christmas party here last year but it was only about 15 people. This year we've grown tremendously to about 45 attending. Which left a bit of a daunting task to find a place not already booked or that was willing to take on that large of a reservation Decided to check with Sumo after being turned down by several other establishments. Although they seemed a little scared of that big of a group, they happily took the reservation. I too was a little nervous about how things would go but they surpassed my expectations. The staff exhibited exceptional efficiency, amiability, and a flair for entertaining, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Four tables and four cooks orchestrated the evening seamlessly, supported by very attentive staff members attending to our needs throughout the event. Of course the food was absolutely amazing. “Built in 1895, beautifully restored almost 100 years later in 1994, the de Witt Cottage features a large collection of wildfowl decoys, as well as a wide variety of old photographs, newsclips, and antiques. Lower floor free, $2 donation requested for upper gallery, which is accessible via stairlift for those who may have difficulty climbing. Video lecture provides a brief history of the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Great lens back in time for those interested in the area's history. Curator was knowledgeable and gregarious without being pushy. Souvenir postcards 3-for-$1. Gift shop also featured books, art, jewelry, and (of course!) decoys. Purchase came with complimentary reusable state-branded canvas tote. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the area.”
