Fountain Island Park

Address: 144th St E, South Hill, WA 98375, USA

Park

“Great park for the whole family. Not so much for toddlers or younger kids but for the 3rd graders and up this park is the spot. The jungle gym is awesome and there's also a fun tire swing type swing to play on. I enjoyed it!😅 The park has a track to walk, a field to play in, and there is a fenced leash off dog area for your furry family to run free. There's drinking fountain, trails around a small pond, and picnic tables. Location is convenient right off Meridian. You can't miss it!”

The Evergreen State Fairgrounds

“Love this fair! By ourselves or with kids and grandkids, it never disappoints. From the animals, display halls, food options, carnival rides and shows. Every year we enjoy it. If you have children or bringing grandchildren definitely get the wristband and you'll save a lot of money on the carnival rides. They have an area with rides for older children and a separate area with rides for little ones.”

Ivanhoe Park

“It is very small park. However, it has a very nice playground. It is great for babies and kids. It has baby swing as well. It is nicely surrounded by tresses.”

Flowing Lake County Park and Campground

“Beautiful lake. Often crowded. $10 per day for parking. We have never camped but looks like nice campsites. There are trails, a dock, roped off swim area, playground, campground, gazebos with BBQ, bathrooms and more. Boat launch is located at a different part of the lake.”

Norpoint Park

Address: 4818 Nassau Ave NE, Tacoma, WA 98422, USA

“Love this park. The playground is great for kids of all ages and the splash pad is super fun too. A safe place to have some fun and splash in the water. With a almost 2 year old and a 5 year old they were equally enjoying themselves. We enjoyed a picnic and some playtime!!!”

Woodard Bay Conservation Area

Address: Olympia, WA 98506, USA

Park

“Trails are very well maintained and easy to navigate. Many different viewpoints to look out over, and is a great place to walk about for a few hours. Information boards scattered along the trails provide good information and reveal the rich history of the area. Chehalis Western Trail is easily accessible from this location, being just up the road. Overall definitely worth a visit if you have your Discover Pass.”

Cafe Park Health

“This is a great historic home which was moved from orchards in the 1920s. Is not large, and when it is open there is no fee to visit. It is also available for rent for private events. You can see the numbers on some of the logs which they labeled so they could reassemble them when they moved the building. The floors are still original, through they look in great shape. This is the oldest house in Washington.”

Cougar Park & Campground

Address: 17005 Lewis River Rd, Cougar, WA 98616, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great view, close to many water access points. The water front area here is pretty rocky. You do need to drive to go find a place to hang out by the water. However they were full online and I showed up and they were able to accommodate me. We will be back next year”

Montalvo Park

Address: 13616 94th Street Ai, Anderson Island, WA 98303, USA

Tibbetts Valley Park

Address: 965 12th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027, USA

Park

“This is a nice park. There are several parking areas, restroom facilities, a skate park, basketball court, and tons of baseball fields. There is also a small section dedicated to Tibbetts Creek with a few interpretive signs. There is definitely great potential for more of a focus on the natural area.”

Parking is decent size. Small Playground and sand area for kids to play with sand tools. There is also one picnic area and can have private party with friends and family.”

Brannan Park

“Where to begin?? I just came home and had to immediately give credit to Cheryl for opening this home to the public. Along with David, who does maintenance, they have made this place truly a special getaway. This was a last minute trip (booked the day before) so we didn't know what to expect. However, immediately it felt like home! Cheryl and David were generous and treated each other with respect which we loved to see! Although we packed as if we were moving in, Cheryl provides guests with more than enough in the kitchen and bathroom! They had rentals...so we chose a canoe. David took a picture of us and printed us copies (2 for us and 1 for us to sign and they plan to display with the others) I thought this was a really nice touch! Another thing I loved was that they accommodated my dog - he was basically on vacation too! I really hated leaving this place but I am blessed to know what and who we are coming back to. Thank you David and Cheryl you made my last minute birthday trip something to remember! We will see you again!”

Commodore Park

Address: 3330 W Commodore Way, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Park

“I stopped to look at the Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder from Commodore Park in the morning. I virtually had it to myself. Although cloudy, the channel water was mirrored flat. Everything looked deep green. I also looked at a fascinating railroad trestle that can lift out of the way of ships.”

Bayside P-Patch

Address: 2200-2298 W Marine View Dr, Everett, WA 98201, USA

Park

“Lovely patch, expert gardeners that can teach you something about growing record size Kale, rhubarb, tomatoes and more. I just wish it could be expanded to the nearly mile long old parking lot across the street. That would make a paradise of a garden space.”

Matt Hirvela Bicentennial Park

Address: 4105 222nd Street SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043, USA

Park

“My favourite little park. A great balance between open space and trees. Cute little jungle gym and lots of benches dotted along the trail should you want a rest. My husband and I love to feed the crows here and this is where we go for most walks. Plenty of room to share and never crowded, everyone is always very nice too. Clean. And a local rock painting group hides their rocks around here so keep on the lookout. :) Funny enough I too hid my rocks here not realizing it was a frequented rock-hiding spot! There are lots of interesting little plants around too for the botany nerds out there (me lol).”

Parks & Recreation Department-Maintenance

Address: 2010 NW Sammamish Rd, Issaquah, WA 98027, USA

Park

Spiritbrook Park

Address: 6500 151st Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052, USA

“Oh my god, found this small little park and absolutely fell in love with the structures. It even has a small picnic shelter, a basketball court and a tennis court…kiddo loved it and so did I - gotta practice my basketball a little 🙈”

Colman Park

Address: 1800 Lake Washington Blvd S, Seattle, WA 98144, USA

Park

“This park is so beautiful, clean, and fantastic. The first part of the park is a beautiful coastal beach with an outstanding view of Bellevue. The second park combines trails and wooden roads for hikers, trailers, and bikers. I felt relaxed and calm when I first visited this park. It felt like I had left my busy life and all the hassle behind. There are many parking lots, so you need to worry about that. The only downside I see is that there is no restroom, so it may be easy for men to find a private space and pee, but how about women? Overall, I highly recommend this park to anyone to relax after a tired and stressful day”

Penrose Point State Park

Address: 321 158th Ave SW, Lakebay, WA 98349, USA

Park

“Nice little campground! Make SURE you lock up your food and garbage at night though, those little masked bandits aren't afraid of you at all! Short little hike to the water makes for some great views! Lots of paved areas for the kiddos to ride bicycles, etc on.”

Sunnyside Beach Park

Address: Chambers Creek Rd W, Steilacoom, WA 98388, USA

Park

“What a lovely park! The panoramic view is breathtaking of the sound. Great place to have a picnic. Has a sand volleyball court which is quite something to see for a public park. Has beach access with a good amount of sand on the beach. Parking can be a bit tricky in the small parking lot, so be mindful. Highly recommend visiting this park as it is quite a treat.”

Pioneer Park

Address: Island Crest Way & 68th Street, Maple Trail, Mercer Island, WA 98040, USA

Park

“If you make your way out to mercer island, I recommend stopping by this park. The trails are well maintained, it felt safe, and it was very clean. Always refreshing to step back in time and see an untouched part of the city. Would recommend!!”

Light of Christ Community Garden

Address: 34249 21st Ave SW, Federal Way, WA 98023, USA

Park

“We stopped by for the fundraiser/ yard sale”

Shoreview Park

Address: 17229 3rd Ave NW, Shoreline, WA 98133, USA

Park

“Took the forest loop trail from the parking lot but only made it into the open forest space, which is perfect for a toddler. Had a stroller and encountered stairs and a long way down to continue on the loop. Anyway, the trees and woodland space was more than enough to entertain my little guy. Plenty of open space under the trees to roam around and forget you're in a city.”

John Matchett Memorial Park

Address: Warde St, Algona, WA 98001, USA

Park Restaurant

“I like taking the kids here because it's convenient, small and has plenty of room to run. I don't particularly care for the parking or bathroom situation, but many parks have the same issues.”
