“Ari at Anahata Conscious living is hands down my favorite yoga teacher. Her classes are so fulfilling on a physical and spiritual level and I always come out feeling amazing, though they also challenge me during the class, which is great. I also went on the Goddess Warrior retreat with her in Bali and it was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. The Ayurvedic food and treatments literally had me glowing by the end and I felt like I had given my soul the reset I desperately needed from the hustle of every day life living in LA. I made friends on this retreat from all over the world that I now consider my sisters and created memories that I will never forget. I am so grateful for this experience and would not hesitate to do it again.”

“I have been a student of Coach Ian Vaughn for the past 4 years. As a fitness professional, I am greatly inspired by the improvements I've seen him make in his own mobility, flexibility, strength and power in the process of becoming an outstanding presenter and educator. Ian's passionate pursuit of excellence has led him to travel all over the country and internationally to seek education from the brightest minds in fitness. Ian serves a diverse clientele ranging from a younger more athletic population to active aging adults. Ian really thinks outside the box to make super fun and effective fitness accessible to people of all ages, pregnant and post partum mothers, and those with injuries, impairments and neurological conditions. Taking courses, in-person privates and online coaching from Ian has empowered me with strength hacks to grow my own 59 year old body stronger than I ever dreamed possible. My work with him has equipped me with a science based system to offer my clients safe and efficient ways to grow more mobile, flexible, and strong with modalities that all work together and compliment each other so beautifully. Where Ian really sparkles and shines is in his expertise in designing programs to progress people safely.”

“Deuce is one of my favorite drop-in gym, the only place I go when I visit LA. While they are currently unaffiliated, the Functional Fitness training they provide is still top notch. Really well thought through, incredibly involved and caring coaches. I love that the gym is largely outside--it's a very LA vibe. Final plus--they have a range of classes, from functional fitness to weightlifting to breath and cold exposure-that really help to round out the experience. And they have great t-shirts and other gear.”

“I've tried multiple gyms in LA and speakeasy is by far my favorite. Kevin at the front desk is the best! He's so nice to everyone that comes in - such a great attitude and sense of humor! He also has the BEST music 🤩 between the music and the lights, you won't have a problem staying motivated at speakeasy!”

“I just completed three private sessions with Gabby and I couldn't be happier with my experience. She has a background in nursing and physical therapy, just the skill set I need to help me unfreeze my couch-potato body and recover my flexibility and strength. There is nothing like a workout on a Pilates reformer apparatus to feel alive - Gabby knows how to make me feel wonderfully energized after each session, not sore and damaged. I trust her expertise and look forward to our continued partnership in the coming months.”

“Great gym! Great Coaches! I've been to a lot of different gyms and this one is the best by far. They offer a variety of classes and women's only classes for ladies that want to learn fighting techniques but are intimidated by co-ed classes. Highly recommend!”

“Core X is truly a great gym with an amazing atmosphere! You can tell all the trainers love what they do, and are great at pushing you to do your best. The classes are curated to make sure you make the most out of the 55 minute time allotments. What I enjoy most about corex are the customized classes which make sure you get the best possible workout in, as well as the ease of signing up for classes with the app. The staff is super friendly, and they will remember you by name. David (the owner) is extremely helpful and a great coach. Every instructor has their own unique style; so no matter who you get, you’ll be in for a fun and challenging hour.”

“Thrive is my favorite local gym. Here are my top reasons: 1. The trainers care about you. They pay close attention to your workout and make sure you do it correctly to achieve the results and avoid discomfort or injuries, even in a group class. 2. It's a very friendly community. From the trainers to other customers, everyone is welcoming. 3. The workout programs are excellent and for the full body. There are a huge variety of workouts focusing on different parts of muscles. 4. The parking is easy and free.”

“Sender One at Runway in Playa Vista is a brand new bouldering/climbing gym! The rocks for each level of climbs are colored so you have suggestions for staying on course. They do a reduced price climb night a few times a month and a LGQBT night as well as other ongoing events. They offer kids hours for little ones and have a really fun tread wall! This gym is bouldering only so no ropes but if you’re looking for that, they also have a climbing gym in El Segundo with the ropes! You can park in the runway parking structure for a few bucks or on the surrounding streets!”

“Systems is an amazing gym and I am so happy I found it. The energy is awesome, but the best part about the gym is the trainers. Sandy is one of the trainers, and she loves what she does and it shows. She pushes you to be the best you can be. When you want to give up, she is right there encouraging you to keep pushing. She always changes up the workout so you will never get bored and the moves will always push your body in a way you never thought possible. With the help of Sandy and the rest of the amazing staff, I was able to lose 30lbs within several months. Thanks Systems!!”

“What better way to start the weekend than with yoga on the beach?! Libby is a wonderful instructor and her classes are perfect for all levels. They usually begin with some stretching, move into a gentle vinyasa flow, and end with a luxurious savanna. Libby does a nice job explaining all of the postures and often shares some inspirational quotes throughout the class. I always leave feeling completely blissed out and ready for a wonderful day! Bring a blanket and look for Libby with her tripod (she live streams the classes if you can’t make it to the beach)! 🧘🏼♀️ ☀️💖☺️”

“I have been attending Studio 66 Pilates for about 2 years and love it. I have tried other Pilates Studios and have not been as impressed. Brenda is a very professional and knowledgeable instructor. Her sessions feel like a private session even though there may be other people attending. She pays close attention to your form, making corrections when necessary for your benefit. Cone join us, I bet you will be hooked.”

“Taekkyon is amazing! A one of a kind martial arts. Master Hong teaches the original style of Taekkyon without the influence of other systems of martial arts added into it (Other Orgs are known to add extra techniques from other systems). I have trained many styles of MA in the past. Master Hong is an incredible teacher. He is passionate, focused and patient. At his school Taekkyon can be approached in multiple ways. One is a slower paced, full body (Health Exercise) style of Taekkyon, reminiscent of Tai Chi. Another is the full system taught as a Martial Arts first, where applications and concept are drilled in from the beginning. Taekkyon is also taught as a fast paced impact exercise reminiscent of Kickboxing while utilizing Taekkyon techniques. All ways of learning eventually take you to the same place. Its just a matter of which approach is best for you and how far you want to take it. Master Hong focuses on the core principles of Taekkyon, teaching the skill needed to achieve proficiency step by step. Taekkyon is an intelligent, well thought out system where no movements are wasted. Every movement has a reason, and every reason furthers the concepts learned. This system is surprisingly efficient. Taekkyon also focuses on a healthy body by building strength without straining the joints along with active breathing techniques. This is a super cool and unique place to train! Also, you aren't going to find anything else like this in the entire US at this point! Wi Dae Taekkyon can only be found in Seoul Korea and La Crescenta, CA. Although Master Hong has a Korean accent, he always takes the time needed to make sure you understand what he is teaching. I really feel like I found a hidden gem.”

“I took the Aroma Yoga class with Dawn. It was wonderful. We practiced yoga focusing on the chakras while breathing in and smelling various aroma oils she put on our hands. It was very relaxing. Only wish I lived here so I could attend every week. Highly recommend for a relaxing and energizing practice.”

“I appreciate how well the staff has handled the past year or so. I always feel welcome and it feels more comfortable than the big gyms. There are months I couldn't come in, some months the state wouldn't allow them to let me in, but I gladly pay my $35 a mo and wish them the best. I'm very appreciative of how well they have handled the pandemic and that they are still in business. Beyond that, its a good gym.”

“Donnielle has treated multiple injuries for me over the years from broken bones to gym injuries and has always offered sound advice for continuing rehabilitation for these injuries as well. I’ve also been in to see her for regular cupping sessions which I really enjoy. I have been a patient of hers for well over six years now and plan to continue to stay a patient well into the future. Highly recommend.”
