Park

“Five Stars because the staff is truely amazing! Professional, caring, helpfull. Stephanie always gives us the best customer services and our inspections are done on the spot. Her service goes above and beyond for us as customers. She helped us set up our dealers license 2 years ago and has been doing all of our inspections ever since! I recommend this place to all dealerships for rebuilt inspections. Truly exceptional”

Bobby Jones Golf Club

Address: 1000 Circus Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34232, USA

Park Restaurant

“As of March 2020 Bobby Jones is closed for golf - and faces an uncertain future. For now, this county-owned course, which is not being maintained, is open for walking and biking on the golf cart tracks (that can be bumpy - so leave the roller blades home). We took our bikes on several miles of loops that meander throughout the course and enjoyed having the place virtually to ourselves and seeing a number of birds - cormorants, egrets, herons, hawks, sand hill cranes, and a lone kestrel. Get outside and take advantage of these Covid-safe activities while Bobby Jones is in limbo. OH - G's Southern Kitchen, which operates in the club house, is open for meal possibilities.”

Kayak Launch- Myakka River State Park

Address: 13208 FL-72, Sarasota, FL 34241, USA

Park

“Great place to launch. If you go north from here to the lake, download a map to your phone. There are a lot of twist and turns and no cell coverage - so download a map ahead of time. It is an easy stroll up to the lake. Lots of dead ends if you do not have a map. I personally saw the biggest gator I have ever seen with my own eyes on a river bank. Definitely worth your time if you like observing wildlife. If you plan on going South past Clark Rd. Check in with the Rangers because you will need a permit if you plan on heading past Clark Rd to the Gator Hole.”

Never had an air conditioned tent before. Beautiful Park and beautiful days to camp. Did some kayaking on the River rapids too and had a blast. You definitely need to check this”

Edward W. Chance Reserve - Gilley Creek Tract

Address: 22455 Co Rd 675, Myakka City, FL 34251, USA

“Loved the rustic walk. Lots of game trails and plenty to look at. Gotta be careful as there are lots of hogs. My dog tangled with one and fortunately only got a few abrasions. Would be nice if SWFMD would knock down some trails as they are over grown.”

Fort Clinch State Park East Beach Access

Address: Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, USA

Park

“Great road for biking. Signage posted for motorists to use caution, 15 or 25 mph speed limits, public washrooms are clean and accessible. Walk to the beach. The off-road trails are often visible from the park roads, but quite narrow, hilly, sand dunes in many spots. To ride these trails you must be a seasoned mountain bike rider with the appropriately equipped bicycle. Helmets are mandatory. $1.00 per person entry is well worth the cost.”

Ridaught Landing Park

Address: 3016 Chief Ridaught Trail, Middleburg, FL 32068, USA

Park

“Has a little bit of everything for kids & adults; benches, swings, jungle gym, and basketball hoops. Good neighborhood park that's open from sun up to sun down.”

Bee Island Primitive Campsite

Address: Myakka City, FL 34251, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Bee Island is a primitive site that is about a 3 mile hike in, depending on the route you choose. Easy hike, flat. Located in a oak hammock, just off a trail and an access road for rangers. Very peaceful. On the nights we stayed we saw lots of birds and listened to owls and coyotes during the night. There is a water pump that provides water but it MUST BE TREATED by either filtering, boiling or some other chemical means. It has a strong iron taste but it IS drinkable after PROPERLY treated.”

Heritage Park Village

“This is a really cool place with a number of historic buildings from different places around Florida that were moved to this spot. It is well maintained and open to the public, plus it has special events on certain dates. My favorite part was reading the stories on the walls of people who lived many years ago, going through hard times and struggles but always coming out shining bright and making an amazing impact on the world! Definitely check this place out, it is like a peaceful time capsule to enjoy!”

Rose G. Price Park

Address: 901 NW 208th Ave, Pembroke Pines, FL 33029, USA

Park

“The pool is nice and I appreciate the presence of a lifeguard, but some of the rules are lame. No masks (think snorkel type masks) in the pool. Ummm, why? What harm can come from an extra 2” piece of plastic covering one’s nose? Goggles are fine, masks are the Devil. Also, no toys in the pool. Like none. You know that cute scuba Barbie your daughter has? Well she has to leave her Malibu Beach butt up on a chair because they don’t allow her kind to swim here. I understand not allowing blow up floats, but what harm can come from a child bringing a small toy into the pool? They treat this pool like a bathtub for senior citizens instead of a family friendly environment that we pay monthly to enjoy.”
