“Wonderful service and beautiful statues and fountains. More bird baths than anywhere else in town. The owner was so helpful and even loaded our bird bath in the car. It’s not in its permanent spot in our yard yet but I had to get a picture.”

“Easy check in after hours. They ask for a form to be filled out, left at the check in station and a picture of the form and driver’s license sent to the manager/owner. We came in after dark and visibility was low. Wasn’t impossible but if we had to do it again would rather come in with some more light. We are in a 38 foot rig and did fine. Super cute campground with wildlife and animals!”

“Great hidden gem! It's behind an elementary school, but once you enter the park it's expansive. There's a playground, trails, small creek to play in. We had a fun Sunday morning exploring!”

“Nice park for the kids. It was a little messy when we visited. But I’m sure someone comes around and empty the garbage cans and straightens up. But it had a nice playground A cool little amphitheater area, some bathrooms, and a cool splash pad for the summer. And a football field.”

“Sweetwater is in my book a must see. Whether you live nearby or are traveling past, take some time to stop. It is absolutely breath taking beautiful. You can visit the lake or walk the creek. It is taken care of, kept clean and free of trash. You can follow many trails, walking the lake or the creek. The bate store in on the lake and the store attendants are super friendly and informative. You can purchase any supplies which you may need, from fishing line, lures, gear, live baits and much more. Maps are supplied if needed. Though the shop is smaller in size you will not be dissatisfied with the selection. You will find just about anything you would need. No matter your style of fishing! All in all the is 💯 hands down one of my favorite visits in Georgia.”

“We had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Chattahoochee Nature Center with the scouts this past weekend, and it was awesome! The kids loved it, it rained and was still enjoyable. The staff there was great, and did inform us that they also host birthday parties here. We were able to see the animals they have there which was really cool! Definitely looking forward to coming back, and having my boys birthdays here this upcoming spring. Go check them out, tell them Eric Berry your GA Realtor sent you.”

“Got to do a service project at the park, and what a nice park it is. It was already very clean. The playground was really cool, and they have a nice, shaded walk path.”

“We always have a good time renting a boat from HH. We got the biggest pontoon this time 115h, 12 seats. We had lots of guests with us. We rent a tube. Lots of fun. Always easy getting it and checking back in. We have never had any issues with anyone here. Employees are very nice. Nice boats. Clean and well taken care of.”

“This is the best playground in the area by far. There are no fees or county restrictions to park. It has canopies for shade to keep the equipment cool which is 10000% a necessity in Georgia. There are shaded spots for the adults to sit, a little book sharing cubby, and a smaller section for littler kids. My kids love going here and there are always others to play with.”

“I have no idea how anyone could give this place a bad rating. My wife and I went camping here for two nights over the weekend and had a wonderful time. This campground is GORGEOUS. Nearly every site has a view of the lake. We went in early November and the autumn colors were magical. We had a tent site. Each site has a fire ring and aluminum picnic table. And a tall pole... not sure what that's for but we put a lantern on ours for light. Check in was easy and there's a gate at the entrance, which I liked. We felt safe the entire time. There were other campers, but a lot of empty sites too, which is expected this time of year. It was nice and quiet most of the time. We did have an issue with some obnoxiously loud people at 1am but honestly, I've gone camping all my life and there's ALWAYS one group of obnoxious people at 1 am anywhere you go. I think someone called security, because we heard yelling and then it was quiet right after. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and smelt like bleach. Everything was in working order. Yes facilities look old but you are camping. This ain't the Ritz. If you want brand new gold toilets, stay at a hotel. All in all one of the most lovely campground I've been at. And I've been at a lot. Here's some pictures to show you how pretty this place is!”

“💵OR 💳 Just need a day out? Just need new scenery? I would recommend Pine Mountain Gold Museum. They host a few events as well that they share on their Facebook page, so keep an eye out for those! We went out when they had the animal encounter. They had goats, cows, a camel and a tortoise. The feed was $3 if you wanted to feed the animals. They also had an ice cream vendor truck there, which was nice! Go into the museum to purchase a receipt for all the activities you want to do: We also went gemstone panning and took a ride on the train! The kids loved the gemstone panning; it was fun to see them excited about what their crate held! They also loved the train ride; super quick & went right around the property. Beautiful place with different activities to do throughout. Note: They do have a museum as well, but I do not feel like my kids are at the age that we could have done that yet without getting restless.”

“It’s $5 per car, $2 for motorcycle or pedestrian. There is a small dock. Pretty views at sunset. Depending on what the water levels are you can explore plenty by foot. Plenty of park benches and BBQ pits. There is a small beach with life jackets for kids.”

“Great park for beginner hikers or children. There's a small paved loop that would be good for wheelchair users or strollers, but the actual hiking is a little bumpier. Still a very easy hike even for a toddler. Beautiful views from the rocks at the lake. Take a picnic and enjoy the view! Lots of easy parking. $5 entry or free with GA state parks pass.”

“Nice secluded park for short distance, no elevation walking or running. The trail portion is actually located past the furthest parking lot from the entrance (not where it is showing on the map) and is gravel-based for most of the way except the very back part. It is a bit difficult to see the river from the trail if there is any foliage, but there is one portion that has an open view near the beginning. There's also sports facilities that look to be open to the public as well. Believe there are also trails that go off the main one into more wooded areas, but did not venture on to those as it was muddy from previous rain.”

“Nice big park with playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, as well as bathrooms grills, and a walking trail. Really nice park for family.”

“Simple park with a short nature trail to the left and a boat ramp, dock, and nature trail loop to the right. In the middle are plenty of parking, benches, and a small wooden pavilion. I did not see a grill present. Nice sandy beach areas appear when the water levels are low. That's pretty much it.”

“The couple that run the office are so polite and helpful. My wife and I stay here about 6 months of the year for a couple years now when visiting the east coast. Safe and clean park. Not much around but if you need a little stop where you don't have to worry about leaving your RV to go to the beach, this is the place. Reasonably priced monthly that includes electricity. We will always come back to Jenny ridge”

“If you hike in to Stafford campground, you will appreciate the accommodations. There electricity and water but you MUST filter the water for drinking/cooking. There is no hot water but it is actually ok and refreshing after a long day of hiking. The best place to view the wild horses is just down the access road. The beach is awesome and peaceful. No crowds here probably because it is such an effort to get and stay here. All the campsites are nicely located with tree cover, fire rings and a choice of tent locations. Firewood can be hard to come by so be prepared to scavenge further from camp.”

“We are on #50. It is close to the water and it’s a pull through. I love the campgrounds. I think it’s the cleanest campgrounds we visited so far. We’ve met some really nice campers here. The camp host was friendly as well. He would ride through on his electric moped just to make sure everything was ok. We will be back. Had a really great time here.”
