“Out of words for this place so magical and calm a beautiful scenery to just watch for hours. You could even meditate and do all sorts of exercises... definitely recommend everyone to take a walk around the track and rest at the top of the hill”

“The reason I gave 5 stars is that I took my teenage boys here, my grandparents live right down the road...its kinda small and really not much do, but we are a little too old to be judging a park. It's changed a bit over the years. But it was nice to reminisce. I have been going here for 40 yrs, I played there and I've taken my kids more then once. Nice and clean no trash.”

“We have a seasonal campsite here. The owners and staff are always very helpful and kind. The other campers are friendly and very respectful. The swimming lake has several large inflatables that the kids love. The Lake Campground is such a wonderful place. It’s a very family oriented place. I was impressed that the lifeguards not only were alert, but they even reprimand people who use loud foul language. That being said, it’s also a place where the adults can get lose and have fun, but respect for others seems to be priority and it doesn’t get as party crazy as some other “party campgrounds” we’ve been to. My only complaint would be that the community bathrooms are outdated glorified outhouses. We have a bathroom in our camper so it really doesn’t matter. Overall, we are VERY happy that we found this place to be our seasonal campground and we plan on staying there for years to come!”

“Absolutely love this park! Feels like home! Love the guy who runs it! Family friendly, my kids always have a great time when we’re there! Gate price cheap enough to bring the whole family! Parking isn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be! I have never had a issue in the last 2 yrs that I’ve been playing here!”

“This open field is a great place to get out and have some fun. With 2 big pavilion and multiple picnic tables there's room for for all. Hike around the field or pick up the connecting trail to the Summit County Bike and Hike Trail. Restrooms on site. Today I headed south on the bike trail. This bike trail is completely flat no hills great for any activity you wish. One thing to remember that from the park you will be going on the bike trail through high tension wires on both sides. There is no shade for roughly 2½ miles. It then goes through Woods on either side of the trail. You can take this Trail all the way down to Brandywine Falls.”

“The little store loaned out board games. (Books were on loan by the Story Land trail. Small supplies for sell; pop & ice cream too. There was also an educational area with a teepee for younger kids. The hiking trails had clean paths.”

“Nice local park with a nice picnic pavilion and nature trails. The gravel loop is exactly 1200 meters and then the grass loop added on is slightly over a mile long when added on to the gravel loop as one big loop. The grass trails are not as smooth as the gravel ones though, so watch your footing when running. The steep hill down to the gravel trail from the parking lot is crumbling pavement that's very bumpy and bad footing, so that could be resurfaced. Our cross country team enjoys running here on a regular basis. It would be nice if the side walk on the side of the road that the park is on was extended down the hill to the park to make it more safely accessible by foot from that busy road and nearby neighborhoods.”

“Was their earlier this week. Very very nice park. Very quiet. If you want peace and silence and just listen to Nature, this park is for you. I used to go to the park when I was a kid when my grandparents used to bring me here. Only little downfall, which I already notified Geauga Park District, is the short path to the viewing deck was under water. I was notified yesterday 12/8/21, their Operations Department will be out soon to fix that issue.”

“What an amazing wedding the park made. We did spend about 4 hours power washing so the mold didn't show up in the pictures. While it did rain, it was big enough to have the whole party stay dry.”

“Great little park. Feels a bit run down, but isn't that what you want from nature, to slowly destroy the things you build? Frozen pond in winter. Home to the ohio record size bluegill. It lives in the pond, we catch and release it every time. Bring a pole, tape measure, and scale and a couple witnesses and catch the monster. Record then release it back into pond to keep growing. Don't forget to give me some credit after you make the local fishing news. Here are the winter pics.”

“Great spot to have a gathering for a cookout! The shelter, tables, grill, and restrooms made this a great spot for a large gathering of friends late July. It's on top of a hill, so there is a nice breeze, even if it's hot. It's only $50 to reserve on a weeknight.”

“Interesting park entrance. The fact that there are essentially two routes, one concrete and one dirt, makes it feel like you have options. It's a good roundabout way to get into the reservation. The hill makes for some good minor exercise.”

“My favorite park. Sunday the trains were running and the excitement on the kids faces was priceless. There is a great play area for the kids. My wife and I hiked 2.63 miles on the rabbit run trail. Very beautiful although a bit muddy in places. Check this place out!”

“Me and the family have been walking up here a few times a week and it's a great little park that's not to far out of the way for us. We have a 16 month old son so it being a smaller park is wonderful because its not ever too busy.”

“Another great Lake Metropark. Whether you want to sit on a bench and look at Lake Erie and listen to the waves, have a picnic on one of the scattered tables or in the pavilion, take a nice walk on level crushed gravel paths, or watch a sunset, this is the perfect place for those activities. The walking paths take you through wooded areas, grassy areas overlooking the lake, and areas with Meadows and wild bushes that are nice for bird watching or observing butterflies. If you pay attention you might even see some bald eagles by the shoreline. There is a very nice pavilion with restrooms. Across from the pavilion you will see a set of steps that go down to the lake. The steps are not very steep and there are four or five small landings on the way down so it isn't too hard to get down next to the water. However the very last step is a lot higher when you climb back up from the beach. At the bottom you will see a lot of large rocks for erosion control and a small sandy strip that has quite a few rocks and sticks, so it's not great to use as a beach but more as a place to get a little closer to the water and observe the lake for a bit.”
