I liked the fact they had a non smoking area available for non smokers. Good customer service. Waiters were courteous and attentive. “Ordered a medium bowl made your way and hand picked my greens and meat into the bowl. We can choose from wide variety of options of meat, veggies, seasoning and sauces. And fill in the bowl with as much as you can fit in. The chef cooked it well and it was good. I reduced a star as I haven’t felt welcoming and we ourself got seated. Felt like no one really cared for a moment. Rest of the service was good.”

“Spent a Saturday here fishing. It has lovely views. The staff is friendly and responsive. We ate at the restaurant before leaving for the day. We ordered a supreme pizza, and it was really good with generous toppings and a delicious crust. We would definitely go back and rent a cabin for a weekend. They are pet friendly. The area has steep hills, so be prepared to hike up and down steep stairs or hillsides.”

We also discovered why The Station Pizza and Subs is Navarro County"s best kept secret for old time, flavorful dining. They daily hand make the pizza dough, hand patty the burgers, and cut the potato's for the french fries! Julie also grows her own herbs to add fresh cut herbs into her recipes. How many restaurants still do this? My husband said his cheese steak sub was made exactly as he requested. It was the best he has ever eaten. My taco salad was delish and so large I requested a to go box to enjoy the rest for later. You absolutely need to try one of the Home made desserts. We sampled one of the large, fresh baked Rocky Road brownies...totally yummilicious! We definitely had a 5 star dining experience. We will be back!”

“As the name implies their pretzels are SOFT and are in my opinion the BEST! I absolutely love a soft and delicious pretzel and this place is one of the best that I have tasted in the area. I am very happy to have found this place! Their pretzels are made fresh, daily right in front of your eyes! I have referred quite a few of my friends to this place and none were ever disappointed! One of my friends bought two pretzels, one for herself and one for her husband and ended up "accidentally" eating his as well! Needless to say she had to go back and get another one for her husband. When she told me about it all she could say was, "they were so soft"! They are that good! On a recent visit my husband and I were more than impressed with the level of service we received. The folks here are always friendly, welcoming and accommodating! I don’t like a lot of salt or butter on my food. Most pretzel places I have visited don’t want to make a fresh pretzel to accommodate my food restrictions. However, when I ask Thomas who was helping us, about getting a pretzel made without the butter and salt he did not give me a hard time. He told me how long it would take to bake and even brought it out to me when it was done. The pretzel was soft and fluffy as usual, very delicious! My husband also enjoyed his Dutch Almond Pretzel as well. This place is and will be our go to spot for soft pretzels.”

“Very tasty! Service is quick and parking in the gravel parking lot makes it for easy in and out. Small town creamy feel that is great for visiting and grabbing a burger or a Reuben.... And even my favorite the chicken sandwich. My family and I often swing in here when we visit canyon lake and we head to Overlook Park or North Park to take the kids for a Sunday. Prices are good and there's a little park out back for the kids to play in a shaded area under the trees next to a creek that flows by the hillside. Picnic tables and the shade tree had the finishing touches to this hometown Drive-In. There's quite a wide variety on the menu so definitely get the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles on the side!”
