“Honest, helpful, and fair. I brought my cat in after she fractured her jaw in a fight. They were honest in that an X-ray from them might not be useful, as theirs was too big to get a detailed image of a dental injury. They were helpful in providing treatment to symptoms of pain and inflammation, and in providing information for veterinary dental clinics in the area. They were fair in their pricing, charging much less than I was anticipating. The next morning pictured, she's eating wet food and getting by as comfortably as she can given the situation.”

“Dr. Reese and Dr. Lipsey have been taking care of my pups for over a decade. Their team has always been so friendly, and they're always accommodating when life happens and you have to bring a pup in without an appointment. Last year I had to put a pup down due to cancer, and they handled such a tough day and time in life with incredible sensitivity and sincerity. This team cares about you and your animals with genuineness. It's always sad to see a one star review stick around on someones page, because reading the only negative review Dr. Reese and his team have it's pretty obvious that they were not the issue. This person with their negative review went and gave bad reviews to vets across the county that are trying to run a good business. I'd give Dr. Hal and Dr. Lipsey 6 stars if I could, and I'm grateful to have them on call to keep my pups healthy.”

“I have used Summerfields since 2018 and I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone but todays appointment blew the others away. The front staff came over several times to talk to my girls and pet them. I felt so seen as a pet parent and not just another patient in the lobby. Then the vet and the vet tech were so kind and handled my problem child with such grace. Just another reason I love this office and their team! They are always quick to sit in the floor to play with your fur baby before starting the exam and they truly care about their patients. It is an animal hospital so emergency’s come through and the wait time for your appointment can be prolonged but worth it for the care care they give. I love their evening and weekend hours too!”

“My mom and sister both bring their dogs here so of course when my dog fell ill I decided to bring him down to The Oaks and I’m glad I did! They were able to get him in an appointment ASAP and all of the staff was extremely nice. My dog was taken care of like family and everyone was very attentive and explained our situation well. It was also extremely fairly priced. The wait wasn’t long and our room was clean and had everything to keep my dog calm. So glad this place is close to home because we’ve found ourself our new Vet! “I called on Saturday to try to get an appointment for Tuesday and was told they had an opening within a couple of hours if I wanted to come in. With my dog having a potential ear infection I jumped at the appointment. As always everyone in the office was great to work with. The vet explained what she was going to do and why. After the exam and testing she explained what she found what the treatment was and offered some advice on how to avoid this from happening in the future.”

“I took my puppy in to be spayed. She had not been to the vet before and she was so frightened her temperature sky rocked. However they were so gentle and reassuring with her that her temp came down and they were able to proceed with surgery. I've had many dogs at this vet and they never fail to take my feelings into consideration and realize what my pets mean to me. Their prices are fair compared to other animal hospitals in town. Their staff has always been kind and treated me with respect. Sometimes the wait time seems excessive however I know that they will treat us the same way with whatever time we need when seen. For these reasons we will continue to use the East Side animal Hospital for all of our veterinary needs.”

“Dr. McPherson is the guy to take your cat to! Frank, knowledgeable and takes his time to explain things. More than I see from my personal doctor. Andrew is a great office manager, always there to help if you have an issue between appointments. Brittany (sorry if I spell it wrong) is also super helpful and so caring! She was comforting my cat while she was getting a vaccine shot - so caring! Front desk staff is polite, not more. They do see so many people, I can't ask for more. As far as a veterinarian goes, Dr. M is really really good, would recommend him to anyone! The only downside is that they are so good and affordable, you have to wait sometimes longer. It used to bug me, but now I just prepare to be there for an hour and half for a routine visit. Sometimes you get lucky and see him right away. Believe me, it is worth it - this practice isn't there for your money only (of course, they have to charge you - it is a place of business), they do care!”

“I don't know where the negative reviews came from but this place saved my nokio life who is a 2lb maltese who i found out had a liver shunt all of a sudden he was not able to pee he was moaning in pain. The vet helped eliminate the issue without it being a money grab and because of that i will continue to take take all my dogs there. She is a true veterinary who is focused on the care of pets not your money, if your baby is sick, don't hesitate because I almost turned away because of the negative reviews I seen and i genuinely believe nokio would have died my poor baby”

“I've had my dog Luna for over a year now and we have been seeing Dr Stewart and Dr Jobe since. I recently moved further away and kept intending to find a new vet closer to home, but I don't know if I could ever trust anyone else like I trust them. They are worth the bit of a drive for me. Luna was acting sick a few weeks ago, blood work showed infection, got antibiotics then acted like herself again. Two weeks later she started acting lethargic again. Dr Stewart found time to work her in, even let me drop her off for most of the day as i work night shift and needed to sleep. She found out Luna had pyometra (despite being so young and only having had one heat cycle in her life) and got her into surgery the next day. Dr Stewart even came in on her day off to make sure Luna was taken care of. Im forever grateful for Dr Stewart, Dr Jobe, and all the staff for saving my fur baby's life.”

“Dr. Weaver is one of the few old school veterinarians left in the county. I had a pug who starting having seizures all of a sudden in one day. This was years ago. I went to every vet in midlothian, waxahachie and Ennis. None would touch him. Told me to go to the emergency clinic in Mansfield. All those vets pretty much just do vaccinations anymore. They don't bother with actual Veterinary work. Dr. Weaver was the only one who said bring him in, I'll see what I can do. I did and within 36 hours he was seizure free and never had them again. He has been our small animal vet ever since. He has also worked on our horses. He is always honest, patient and explains what you need explaining. We are very thankful for him.”

“Incredibly convenient and professional. A great alternative to going to a vet. They even called us and said to come in whenever since they had multiple cancelations. About 4 people did show up when we arrived, and they were able to see us all despite the fact that the clinic had officially closed for the day. They were amazing in dealing with our less than cooperative dog and were able to get him caught up on everything he needed. They provided us with documentation, a tag, and important information about our visit. Special shout out to Dr. Emily Couvillion and her team! 🥳 10/10 would recommend. We will be back!”
