“Amazing site. It’s is a great history of the battle and the museums are great love the walk through a soldiers experience. The earthworks are a great walk and the recreated trenches are awesome for realization of the battle. It is a must stop for history people and non history people. The plantation and houses show the civilian life as well. And are just as important.”

“The monument, dedicated in September 1866, stands atop a masonry vault containing the remains of 2,111 soldiers gathered from the fields of Bull Run and the route to the Rappahannock. The remains were found scattered across the battlefields or in trenches and brought here. This monument was the first memorial at Arlington to be dedicated to soldiers who had died in battle, and who later could not be identified. Because in some instances only a few bones or a skull were recovered, it is assumed that the vault contains the remains of Confederate soldiers as well as Union troops.”

“Have always loved this campground and still do even though no longer a KOA. Staff great, but needs training on the store side. Totally messed up my bill when I arrived. Later in our stay my husband went to get 1 bundle of fire wood and was charged for 4. On a high note, Ray was totally wonderful, helpful, and friendly!!”

“As of 1 Oct this Park is no longer part of the KOA chain. That said, this was one of the nicest Parks we've stayed in. Great staff - had an issue with no hot water in the bathhouse the first evening, mentioned it to the staff the next morning and it was fixed immediately. Speaking of staff, all were great. They were constantly cleaning and coming by to make sure we had no issues. We had a premium site, so paver patio, gravel pad, gas grill, swing and nice table. Park is located near quite a few tourist sites as well as options to restock your fridge. Would def stay again.”
