“I love the botanical part of the park. It's just gorgeous in spring and the paths offer a decent distance walk. Relatives live nearby and I want to visit this park everyone we can come. If you run, it may be a good place when starting out doing couch to 5k but not if you do a 5k on the reg. And some weekends it's too packed for a run during the popular times of the day, so maybe get there early in the day.”

“I'm hesitant to post about this hidden treasure. It would be sad if it were mistreated. This park/swimming hole deserves to be respected. What a great place to visit. A short drive from Olympia. Great for all ages. Easy to access trails for a baby stroller or wheelchair will take you right down to the water. There is a section for young children and another beach for teenagers and above. The photos I posted were taken during the off-season. My two year old daughter was scared of the water until swimming here. She didn't want to leave. It is a very clean and healthy lake. The water is a little chilly and the deep parts have water plants growing on the bottom are a bit startling at first. But that is normal for a lake. Please come and enjoy with respect to the locals and the wildlife.”

“Amazing place for walking, riding a bike (adults and kids), running and any outside activity you enjoy. All green areas are in excellent shape. There are 4 restrooms that are pretty decent. It is also a great area for little kids to practice riding their bike since there are no steep hills.”

“This a great park! Even in the rain the enclosures don't get too muddy, they have separate play areas for small/big dogs and the terrain is varied. The people and their doggos are all very friendly and go out of their way to include everybody.”

“We have been utilizing this park for many years for many different activities. Well kept and maintained by our community. They used to host a teddy bear picnic annually pre-C-Vid. Lately we've been playing in the snow here, but otherwise it's a lovely summer park with a lot of apple trees. Please, keep an eye on your little ones. These trees are paid for by donation, work by donation, and in the fall it will be time to harvest the bounty of all that hard work. No breaking branches, as these apples feed lots of people. Wildlife too. Have fun!!”

“It's a great nature reserve with minimal wildlife except birds and squirrels. It's clean of trash and rubbish and the trails are very walk friendly, no potholes are large debris over them . Locals are amazingly friendly and of the younger mature generation it seems. Down home like . Great Place for a Sunday walk with your fzmily”

“Nice place to go for an after dinner evening stroll in the evening. The trail is mostly paved. The stroll isn't too long to walk the whole trail. You can even take the shortcuts to make it shorter if you prefer. I loved coming here when i lived in Edgewood. Its very calm and relaxing. Great place for a private picnic and some of nature's natural habitat. Parking can be tough because there's only a few spaces.”

“This is a good summer camp if you are of a traditional Church of Christ background. The summer camps are focused more on growing spiritually than on playing games. They tend to do a good job challenging campers and helping them grow in their faith. If you are from a different church background then things may not make sense. Compared to other Christian camps, it is somewhat limited in physical space. It is predominately comprised of one open field which most activities take place in. The boys cabins are more dorm like and are not handicap accessible. The girls cabins are also dorm like and are better like but still require someone in a wheelchair to go up a fairly steep hill. The waterfront cabins are cute. They are fairly original and haven’t been updated. You can rent them throughout the off season for an affordable rate.”

“Well maintained trail with lots of twists and turns. Even found a snake on the trail that startled my poor kid. It is a short trail but make sure you pay attention to where the trail ends. Oops. Lol. And there are some good hills, so not for those that need flat paths. I'd definitely go back. Another rate 5 tonight. Must be in the air.”
