“Came here on a Thursday for lunch, we were seated promptly and each of us ordered the lunch roll special. The sides listed on the menu are not what come with it (i was expecting to have a choice of edamame and another appetizer, plus a choice of soup or salad, what i got was soup and salad with no other choices). I ordered the spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll, rather than being sushi with spicy sauce on top the fish was minced in with ???. Seemed like filler and not like alot of fish. The rolls were also smaller. For the price it was a good value but I think next time I'll try sashimi so I can get real (not minced or mixed) fish! The speed we were served means im definitely willing to give this place another try!”

“We went to Sal’s to order pizza on Christmas eve for the entire family. This was my first visit to Sal’s and I ordered over the phone. The customer service over the phone was friendly and easy to order. I walked in, my pies were ready and paid and walked out the door. I was very impressed with the pizza. Very big slices, the sauce was a little sweet (i liked it) and it tasted great. I highly recommend getting some pizza. We got three pizzas and two orders of wings for $100. A little pricey but the experience and the food were great. Overall, I definitely will be back as it is one of the better pizza places in the area.”

“We sat outside, and the ambiance was great. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and split an artisan salad. They were good but need a little more seasoning. I am very happy to have found this place! Their pretzels are made fresh, daily right in front of your eyes! I have referred quite a few of my friends to this place and none were ever disappointed! One of my friends bought two pretzels, one for herself and one for her husband and ended up "accidentally" eating his as well! Needless to say she had to go back and get another one for her husband. When she told me about it all she could say was, "they were so soft"! They are that good! On a recent visit my husband and I were more than impressed with the level of service we received. The folks here are always friendly, welcoming and accommodating! I don’t like a lot of salt or butter on my food. Most pretzel places I have visited don’t want to make a fresh pretzel to accommodate my food restrictions. However, when I ask Thomas who was helping us, about getting a pretzel made without the butter and salt he did not give me a hard time. He told me how long it would take to bake and even brought it out to me when it was done. The pretzel was soft and fluffy as usual, very delicious! My husband also enjoyed his Dutch Almond Pretzel as well. This place is and will be our go to spot for soft pretzels.”

“My husband and I went to the Whiskey Barrel for our weekly date night. This was our first time there since the opening. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as our app. It was good. We were a little disappointed that they were out of baguette. Understandable though. For our dinner, we shared a fillet, mac and cheese, and French fries. The fillet is the best steak you'll get south of Lincoln. Trust me, I've tried them all. Good char, cooked to our temp and seasoned great. The mac and cheese should be a meal option of its own. It was so thick and creamy, absolutely delicious. Fries, how can you go wrong. They had a probably 18-person group when we were in, and the service was still great. We will be back again! I'm glad to see all of the great things the new owners have done.”
