“We started with a couple Thursday Special craft draft beers for $4 and a basket of onion rings for $7.99. The serving was generous and was accompanied by a nice mustard-based dipping sauce. Our entrees were the Patterson Pulled Pork with house-made BBQ sauce ($7.99), a side of tader tots ($1.99) and a 4 oz. Classic Cheeseburger ($5.99) with house made kettle chips. The pulled pork was fat free and very tasty with the house BBQ sauce. The burger was very good with all the fixings. Dawn was very attentive and kept us happy.”

I started with two Cajun Boudain sticks that were packed with flavor and perfectly crisp, paired with their signature BBQ sauce. For my main course, I had the brisket plate with green beans and corn on the side, plus two slices of bread and a generous portion of extra sauce. Everything was hot, tender, and seasoned to perfection. I also had an ice-cold punch that hit the spot and finished with a slice of their pineapple pound cake — sweet, soft, and the perfect way to wrap up the meal. The vibe inside is warm, authentic, and full of personality, with eye-catching art, neon signs, and a laid-back feel that makes you want to stay awhile. “I just moved here four years ago and have MISSED authentic delicious Indian Cuisine. I had passed by this restaurant and promised myself that I would visit to check out the menu. This was the best! So many different options! I ordered the Tandoori Chicken (spicy), Butter Chicken, and plain Naan to go. The Tandoori Chicken was tender and so flavorful mixed with onions and seasoning. I had asked for spicy and the lovely server asked between 1 and 10 - I asked for 8. I was not let down - so delicious! I saw a bad review regarding the Butter Chicken and I have to disagree - I found it to be very aromatic and appreciated the rice as to not waste any of the extra sweet, savory sauce. I look forward to trying their other dishes! So glad to live close to a place where I can have authentic Indian food!”

“Quickest service and seating I might've had at a (busy) brunch restaurant! We asked for outdoor seating and they took us right out and started with our orders. I had the Lean & Green omelette with house potatoes and the Banana French Toast. Both were super fresh, filling, and tasty! The omelette was packed and they were generous with the potatoes. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and quick. The only thing I'll say is the pigeons haha. They are a nuisance if you sit by the railing. I'm not sure what they can do about it since it's outdoor seating and you can't control nature, but it's just not ideal to see birds eating the leftovers off previous customers' plates while you're still dining. I thought it was kind of funny!”

“The manager Lavaun has truly turned the store around. I had an issue with my meal and he definitely fixed the problem. I was so stressed walking into the store with sick kids on my hip and he sure made my day better! The environment was SO SO SO peaceful. I felt extremely welcomed! I know the food is going to be great when he is there managing the store. Not only that he was walking to different tables making sure they were okay. “We went with friends and truly didn't know what to expect. All cocktails are made with moonshine. I had a blueberry lemon drop, sweet and earthy. The blueberries were a perserve which the blueberries were grown right there in Independence. Then had a peach lemon drop that was savory and was made with peach syrup. My friend had the moonrock, it was cute and tangy. Definitely sugary. She also tried the house margarita with Patron and she enjoyed it as well. Both of our guys had Bluemoon draft beer. We ordered appetizers. We tried the duck wontons (so good), onion rings and chicken cracklins (I 10/10 recommend these). The guys had chicken wings, flavored with the mistake sauce, which consisted of 5 different flavors, garlic parmesean and the blue cheese was cajun. I had a chicken club, it's not on the menu the way I had it, just added cheese and bacon to the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. I ate every bite. My friend had the burger which she enjoyed. The waitress was amazing. She provided all the information needed and was extremely helpful. She let us know the specials for the day and also before we left told us the specials for the upcoming week. The restaurant really has a champion as a waitress. I am so sorry I forgot her name. I waited to long to review. Overall great place to eat.”

“I took my children here to experience just how incredible their pancakes are. The Beacon did not disappoint:) Upon entering, I was greeted immediately with a smile and was attended too upon sitting down. Everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome! I ordered the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes and they literally were the best things on earth! My boys both sampled the cinnamon roll pancakes and loved them! I was happy to see that they offered a variety of patties: traditional, mild, spinach, chicken, etc. I love a good Jamaican beef patty, so I was sold. The crust was flakey and the item itself was pretty large. However, the pocket of meat inside was definitely not as densely packed as the images on the menu screen. It was still very enjoyable and I would come back to eat one again.”

I think the chips would be a lot better with more salt added. Cilantro garnish for flavor and color would be a welcome addition to the plates. The carved and painted chairs and tables provided an element of Mexican atmosphere to an otherwise plain strip mall shopping center. They were unique and different. I think adding some string lights to the ceiling would really add that extra element. The server was kind and attentive.”

She kept checking on us and one of my daughters came in late and loved that Emma knew every one of our names! She was so professional and personable! I hope she's here the next time we come! “This place is a hidden gem, I can't believe it's not getting more attention. I can't review for all the food cause I've only had their pizza and compared to others in the area this pizza is very good. I had the margherita, and the crust is perfectly crispy. The sauce taste fresh and homemade, and they use good quality cheese. My husband had one with chicken, and he also agreed it's one of the better pizzeria's in the area. The place even has a full bar as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and it's very clean. This place is underrated, and it should have the buzz that others have but don’t deserve. I intend to go back and try a pasta dish or one of their sandwiches. I hope they don't disappoint, but if they do, I'll let you know.”

“I’ve been hearing about Silvio‘s for a while from a couple of friends, so we decided to give it a try. It is uniquely situated in the corner of Bush‘s supermarket, but don’t let that fool you. It has a separate entrance and has a very quaint atmosphere. For those who don’t know, Trattoria represents a family run business in both the kitchen and the front end of the restaurant, with homemade food. As we were seated, we noticed a gentleman in the back cooking and making pizzas and found out later that he in fact was Silvio, making the food with his own hands. Our waitress was of course, family as well, and told us that every item on the menu is made from scratch. And it really showed! I had lasagna, which was absolutely fantastic! I would’ve liked a little bigger piece, but it was great. My wife had salad and the Michigan ravioli, which was very unique and tasted wonderful. The salad was presented beautifully and included artichokes and other specialty ingredients which made it beyond ordinary. We definitely plan to visit again!”

“Awesome Night Out - VIP Lanes Are the Way to Go! We had a super fun night out with a group of friends from the office. Highly recommend springing for the VIP lanes! They were not crowded at all, and all the equipment and machines were working perfectly, which made for a smooth and enjoyable game. The food and drinks were excellent (much better than typical bowling alley fare!), and the staff was very attentive and friendly. A fantastic spot for a work social or group event.
