“We've all had the craving that sneaks up on us in the evening, perhaps after a long day or perhaps after a night out. Whatever the cause we desire some tantalizing treat to feast upon! Puff'n'stuff to the rescue! This is a late night venue, it doesn't open until 6:30pm but it stays open until 3am to fulfill all your late night cravings be they sweet or savory. How? With mouth-watering pastries baked to perfection! Pastries are a tricky thing, there are many ways it can go wrong be it too thick/heavy, too oily, too dry the list goes on. Making a perfect pastry is a talent. With the first bite I took into the Apple Turnover I knew I had hit gold; warm apple chunks soaked in an ambrosial golden syrup burst forth from the crispy and flakey crust to fill your mouth with a bouquet of flavor. I immediately instigated a house gathering in the kitchen to share my new found treasures. Those 6 apple pies disappeared in the blink of an eye as the family dug in. Switching to the savory side next up was the Patty Melt. This time a caraway(?) seed glazed crust surround a scrumptious mix of juicy hamburger, cheese and caramelized onion. The flavors effortlessly melt together as you take a bite. I found myself standing speechless for a moment, what magic is this they have created? Surely it must be evil because nothing good could taste this good?! In addition I also tried the Sausage Roll, the Creamy Chicken and Bacon and the Breakfast Puff pastries. Each one unique in it's own way and each one a delectable delight. Just watch out for the Sausage Roll as I found the sauces escaped quite easily. In summary Puff 'n' Stuff is comfort food at its finest, pastry perfection! When you get that late night craving turn to Puff 'n' Stuff and I guarantee you won't be disappointed, you will be blown away. I can't wait for 6:30pm so that I can order more (and hopefully slow down enough to add some pics this time!). ---- Update ---- Ordered one of everything on the menu and tried it all. “Ate here last night, after it was highly recommend to us. It did not disappoint, food was fantastic and service was excellent. Bar was filled with locals enjoying a fun night of Karaoke and had several tvs. It's not fine dining, but definitely one of the best meals we have had in the area during our 6 week stay. I had linguine and shrimp and my husband had steak and shrimp combo. Both were wonderful, and price point is good as well. If it had a waterfront location we would be here every night!”

“Amazing italian food! We had a great experience here, it is very good value. We had a mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian options and everything was delicious. We had the Zucchini Flowers for the first time ever - very nice and light vegetable dish. The prosciutto appetizer comes with shaved truffles, which was something special - it tastes amazing, highly recommend! Tonnarelli alla Norcina also comes with shaved truffles and tastes really good! The italian spicy sausage also adds a nice kick to it. Overall we had a great experience and don’t forget to ask for their dessert menu!”

“Was looking for a quick bite to eat near my new apartment ..ran into the sign … decided to try them out…. I stood at the counter for a few before being acknowledged (but there wasn’t any other customers in line). The greeting wasn’t the friendliest, I attempted to give smiles & convo asking if they sold Cafè Du Monde Beignets… since the coffee had such a massive display. She was clueless even after I pointed out the coffee. I went on to state it’s my 1st time visiting and I’m new to SF to help her improve to no avail. I informed her that I thought the Basil chicken or The Gai Sansho sandwich looked interesting; which did she recommend? She stated I should try the chicken sandwich. I looked at the picture confirmed what came with it (seasoned waffle fries, a can drink, & a choice of sauce). I didn’t see the sauce choice listed only pictured. I asked the cashier what are the choices as if I didn’t just tell her it’s my FIRST TIME VISITING… she mentioned two as if she didn’t know herself what the choices of sauce are. I went with Spicy Mayo & Sweet Chili! Cashier gave me my receipt & informed me of my order number. I waited on my food and observed the atmosphere & took pictures … location is in the thick of the city (construction near by, neighborhood Fentanyl friendly, and shoppers, but once inside it’s quiet, relaxing, & a little opportunity to shut off the city. Cashier calls my number & I take my food to go ((she’s still dry & not engaging…no thank you come again, welcome to the neighborhood…nothing) I paid cash of $15 . Got back to my apartment, opened my food: Great portions, nice presentation, & fresh ingredients!! I picked up this massive sandwich & applied the spicy Mayo to a bite and it was delicious but the perfect partner for the slaw, pickles, bun, and seasoning on the chicken is the sweet Thai chili …. Ohhhhhh myyyyy word….. do yourself a favor & go try this sandwich combo … the marriage with the seasoned waffle fries leaves nothing but joy in your mouth!! You will not be disappointed… I’m going again today to get another sandwich! 😍🙃🤤 the sandwich is 5 star for sure!! The service needs improvement.”

“I absolutely love these tacos 🌮❤️ The first time I tried them was on a Tuesday (Taco Tuesday) which tacos are only $2 that day. I ended up ordering 2 chicken, 2 beef and 2 steak tacos. 1 soft shell and 1 hard shell of each kind of meat. To my surprise they were all delicious 💯 My favorite kind was the hard shell chicken taco 🌮 I'll definitely be back on Tuesday's (more tacos for the money)”
