Buckeye Boarding

Address: 7885 Patterson Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026, USA

Veterinary care Park Lodging

“Buckeye Boarding provided a great experience for our dog. The staff is friendly and you can tell has a true love for these animals. The dogs are given time outside to run around which is great as I know larger facilities tend to have less time to spend with each animal. My pup came home happy and I will be sure to return to Buckeye Boarding in the future!”

Sebald MetroPark

Address: 5580 Elk Creek Rd, Middletown, OH 45042, USA

“The creek is a lot of fun! They have some smaller playgrounds that aren’t great honestly, but they have a new-ish one that’s nice, my kids love the newest one. I wish they’d add some more up-to-date playgrounds! They have shelters that you can reserve for parties, all but the one next to the newest park have tables. There’s a lot of space for kids to run around and play by the shelters! Pet friendly. I’ve been here dozens of times and we always have fun. Port-a-potties only for bathrooms.”

Nice wooded trail and picnic areas. Lots of people fishing and kayaking. And if you are into archwry there is a nice archery range too. We will be back 😊”

Greene County Expo Center

Address: 120 Fairground Rd, Xenia, OH 45385, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Had our Hamvention at this site. I was quite impressed at the cleanliness of the site. Even though it had rained the day before there were only a few damp areas. The food at the different providers was often very good. Very upscale for fairground food but the cost was very reasonable. The buildings were clean and had good air movement so even though it was humid and over 90 outside it was very nice in the open buildings. The bus transportation from the remote parking was outstanding and Free! Greene county and the sheriff office had a very organized system. This has been my best experience at the hamvention in Dayton/Xenia!”

Princess Ledges Nature Preserve

Address: 4361 Spruce Ave, Brunswick, OH 44212, USA

Park

“Small but mighty! The total trail length was under two miles as I recall but it’s one of the favorite parks my wife and I have been to. There are basically two areas to the woods. Closer to the parking lot there are older trees, mostly tulip poplars and sugar maples with some red oaks. We went in late Fall and these trees made the woods very yellow. Beautiful. Farther from the parking lot the woods get scrubbier and younger with the sugar maples replaced by red maples and some pine added in. The park had the biggest Osage Orange tree I’ve ever seen, around 50 feet tall. Fruit all over the ground. Truly an awesome tree. We saw a ten point buck very close to us on the trail. The “ledges” are small areas. Nice but nothing too special. If you want to be impressed with rocks you’ll probably be disappointed. Housing, etc all around the park though I don’t recall a lot of road noise.”

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Pleasant View

Address: 12611 Township Rd 218, Van Buren, OH 45889, USA

Campground Rv park Park Lodging

“This barely fell short of 5 stars.. I often think the money the these places bring in could def always have more money put back into them. Bathrooms were decent. Having laundry is a big plus. Seems like most long term campers take up all the good spots which is disappointing. That being said I would try it again when it’s warmer out to check out all the amenities, seems like lots to do when the weather is better! Has potential to be really fun here!”

“Great park in Kettering. Located right next to the Habitat Environmental Center (also a wonderful place to send you kids) oat the end of Bellflower St in West Kettering by Southdale school. It has a great playground with slides, a rock boulder, a fire pit, and a decent little trail system winding its way through the nearby woods. A small creek also meanders its way through the woods. “A real nice place to adventure on a nice day of just relax. Has a few ponds , a few playgrounds , paved paths, a disc golf course. It picnic shelters. It was a fun time and I was super excited to discover this park . My kids are growing almost too old for playgrounds so this was a great try at something more their level of entertainment. I would recommend anyone to visit. Even to soak in the warm weather and people watch as this place also seems to get several visitors as well. But we enjoyed the disc golf part of the park.
