“Nice campground. Well maintained. The pools are nice. Small area inside where you can buy alcohol and sandwiches and ice cream. Bathrooms are okay. They do have continuous hot water and good pressure. The campground was quiet.Fair prices. No hidden fees. The site we originally were supposed to have wasn't quite ready yet I don't think. The septic drain was way too high and capped off. And there was a large amount of rocks in the parking area. But they were able to move us to a different spot that was very nice.”

The fire pit with grate made campfires and cooking easy and safe. The kids loved all of the animals on-site! We also enjoyed the swimming lake, inflatables, jumping pillow, and playground. We had 25 people and felt like we used just under half of the available seating space. It's nice you get it for the whole day so set up/tear down aren't rushed. Adequate and close/accessible parking. For us it was a perfect setting for a kids birthday party during Covid that allowed for the needed amenities while affording open air and plenty of spacing. Covid or not, this will be our go to for future outdoor parties.”

Maude Neiding Memorial Park

“My son and I are big fans of this park for a lot of reasons. The best part for parents is the variety in playground equipment. I started taking my kid here when he was only about a year old, and there was stuff there for him to do even at that age. The two play sets near the parking lot are definitely geared toward younger ages—one more for young toddlers, and the other for older toddlers transitioning into around kindergarten age. They also have play areas that accessible for children with disabilities. My son is currently 3.5 and only now taking some interest in the large, wooden playground area. Every time I’m there it’s very popular with the school aged kids as there is a lot to do. We always leave with splinters, but that’s just expected to some extend. Other perks—it’s cleanly, there are pavilions, there are open spaces of grass for running, and it’s relatively distant from busy roadways. Overall, excellent park and playground.”

Bill Stanton Community Park

Address: 5585 Chapel Rd, Madison, OH 44057, USA

“The walking trail is lovely! It is filled with evergreens; the aroma of pine brings sweetness to the senses! One can usually view the eagles that nest here, the turkey vultures and other birds and wildlife that make this their home along with the laughter of children playing while overlooking our beautiful Lake Erie. This park offers something for everyone. Hoping something can be done to stop the erosion that is quickly taking our natural resources away.”

Creekside Reserve

Address: 761 Factory Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434, USA

Park

“Loved this little hiking area. I parked in the parking lot of the Community Park and crossed the street following the paved trail. It loops around past a school. You'll see signage, and after a little bit you'll get to the trails. You can take the paved trail or there are two other trails you can choose, one that goes closer to the water and one that doesn't go as far in. Easy to follow trail signage, quiet. The trails that go closer to the water are not paved, I saw a few runners, it was a peaceful quiet hike. Saw lots of mushrooms. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Clean trails. Lots of beautiful native flowers. I took the paved trail back and it was full of people hiking, biking, running with their dog, walking, chatting on phones. Nice to see such a great place being enjoyed by the community ❤️🚲🌼🐾”
