They were thorough, responsive, and so helpful in getting us set up! The venue itself is stunning and the views are unbeatable! Nothing like spending the day near the river, watching the longhorns, exploring, and ending the day with stunning sunsets. “We stayed here for about 3 months and LOVED every minute of it! It was so peaceful and quiet. The staff was so friendly and amazing that I truly enjoyed talking to them inside of the restaurant. We did try the restaurant and being a native of the area, the food would have been better if it hadn’t been frozen but was still enjoyable. The workers and owner spent everyday we were there working to make the park even more beautiful! The pool area was always kept up and had a beautiful display of flowers all around to make you feel right at home. Definitely stop by and check them out!”

“As Full Time RV Living we were referred to Lake Cozy-Dale. Being that we are not from the area, and only had pictures to go off of on Facebook, I really didn’t know what I had signed us up for. When we arrived, in May, it was so picturesque and well maintained. Linda was super informative and friendly and got us all checked in. We had 4 different sites total, which every single time everyone was so accommodating with us moving. We spent a good six months here at Lake Cozy-Dale. We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay there, the bait house has amazing food and snacks, the activities that are held around holidays, the neighbors are friendly and the owners Heidi and BJ go above and beyond. Great monthly rates too. I definitely recommend checking this place out, even if it’s just for a night! They have cabin rentals too!! Thank you for our extended stay! We appreciate the hospitality!”

“Great staff. Hands down outstanding! Made sure we were comfortable and very knowledgable about the area. We stayed in the upper campground.. the first few photos. The basic electric sites are close together. Like TIGHT. We paid $37.10 for one night. We were the only ones there. So it didn't matter. The lower campground is marked. Be careful staying down there in wet weather... it's mud path and you can get stuck. Bath house is on the hill..all individual. No sharing.. clean. Nice. There's a pool.. putt putt, go carts, and kayak and canoe adventures. Also small cabins. All new picnic tables this year. Nice place. Honestly.”

The campsites were large, and we didn't feel cramped or crowded by the sites next to us. Very quiet, peaceful, and we felt safe. The entire campground was well maintained. “July 3-5, 2023 my mother in law took myself and my 3 month old puppy (Modelo) camping! Yes, we camp in tents!!Couldn’t believe we got a spot because we got off to a late start but had several sites to choose from! We were greeted as soon as we pulled in by a very pleasant and helpful grounds tenet- and his cats!! Lol $30 for tents and $50 for RV!!! Porta potties-except one- were actually pretty clean. Running water and electricity hook ups! Fire pits!! The kind and generous man who greeted us brought us a small bundle of wood FOR FREE! (We forgot ours)to get us through our first evening! Very quiet place and we had plenty of space between us and our neighbor- who we met the next day and we all tried to go tubing- my dog was terrified and Mom-THANKFULLY-called it off almost immediately. THEY ACTUALLY GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!! Found a calm area close by just over the bridge! My dog was so great full!!! And we had a good time. Split a load of wood with our neighbor friend and it was perfect! No showers is the downside- otherwise we would have stayed even longer.”

“Just spent one night there to test out. Only 3 sites being used including mine. Seemed fairly quiet except the one family (mom, dad, kid and dog) who seemed louder than the other site that had several people (about 7 or 8 people). Gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I wish there was a ranger to keep the dog family in check since their dog wasn't on a leash. It didn't full blown attack, but as I walked by their site, I had my hand on my knife and had to stop for the owner to come and get it.”

“Tall Oaks is a wonderful place to be. I got a tent site and it was awesome. The electric worked great. The sites aren’t too close together. The showers are no more than a mile walk from any site. You definitely feel “ back in the woods” at tall oaks and it is so relaxing! Definitely recommend.”

“Despite what others say, I absolutely love this campground! As a single woman, I was so tired of hopping from campground to campground, setting up and tearing down every other weekend. I wanted a nice place where I could leave my camper year round. It’s so great to come out here and have everything ready when I arrive! (I actually had a deck attached to my camper!) The new owner has made a load of upgrades and is in the process of many more! There is now a bath house for tent campers and they are working on a laundry facility for everyone. There are amazing people who stay year round and I’ve made many friends. Your camping spot, no matter where you go, is what you make of it and I love mine!”

“Check in was fast, friendly and quick. I had a pull through site with full hook up. The electric, water and sewer hook up line were all new and really easy to connect. The pool is clean and warm. There are play areas for kids and 2 fenced in dog parks. If you bring your golf cart, there's a one way trail that goes all the way around the rv park through woods and corn fields. There is a walking trail. They have a small store at the office and there is laundry on site. Security does rounds on there golf cart. All of the staff and guests are very friendly. I will be back.”

“I was there for a night shooting stars but ran into a cloudy + thunder storm night. Definitely be back. My 2nd review. Spend a night by the boat ramp for Milky Way shoot. Perfect !! Despite a "little" light pollution from Mesa-Phoenix and Globe, the sky is clear and I got a few shots. Highly recommended for fellow astrophotographers.”

“Great campground! One of the cleanest campgrounds we’ve been to. The bathhouses are individual rooms with nice cedar walls and extremely clean. The concrete pad sites are large and the utility pedestal is top notch. 1 min walk to the inlet with a niece beach. Plenty of room to get setup and nice grass lots attached. This is our new go to site! The swimming pool is walking distance and it’s 10 bucks per day. APG/MWR facilities knows how to run a campground!”

“The park is located close enough to Space Center Houston, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston, etc to make it a good location for exploring Houston. It does have level concrete pads for both the RVs and tow cars. It has a bit of a sterile feel to it with so much concrete and nearly no trees inside the park. The area has a lot of road construction and traffic so plan to bring your patience.”
