They also use the park to host some events from time to time so it's a great place to gather and enjoy some of the simpler things in life! Amd for those of us who can remember back when the old elementary school was there it could be a great place to reflect on days gone by! Class of 2003!”

Eagle Park

Address: 14730 North Springdale Ave, Middlefield, OH 44062, USA

Park

“This is an awesome little gem in Middlefield. 2 playgrounds and 2 splash pads. For younger and older kids. Free Wi-Fi, too. 2 parking lots - free parking. And an open restroom for public use. Though it could use some cleaning. I give it 4 1/2 stars due to that. But because the playgrounds and splash pads are great, 5 stars. Park benches and picnic tables all over, a gazebo with a grill off to the side, covered areas with benches underneath. My kids enjoyed this park very much. Dogs are allowed.”

Tiffin University Nature Preserve

“The trail I took was a little over a mile. It was a beautiful day. Paths were clear to walk. I was impressed.”

Shade Acres

Address: 1810 NW Catawba Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Absolutely wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I came up for the weekend for my birthday and booked Cabin 3. We walked in, walked out, and walked back in to try to understand how it seemed so big inside and small outside lol. Queen bed, couch, TV and dresser. A little table with 2 chairs and full kitchen, full stocked with dishes, a stove and full sized microwave, coffepot and FULL SIZE FRIDGE. The bathroom was smaller but no different than most hotels. Cute decorations too and clean. I do not understand the few bad reviews this place has. It is a camp ground. I think the bad reviewers were expecting 5 star hotel fancy at a small campground cottage. It was not fancy or super updated but it felt like a home away from home. Everything worked as it should. The camp neighbors were very friendly, kids playing and well kept area. Management was nice and answered any questions we had. It was very quiet at night, and that AC unit kept us nice and comfy for sleep. I hope to be able to stay here each time we visit. Next time, we'll bring the kids, since this is obviously a family friendly camp ground. Thankyou guys for being a big part of my wonderful birthday.”

They also have a gun range for any firearm situation you need to practice for. Spring Valley also has an awesome wildlife area that has some nice trails and a marsh to enjoy some fall and winter hunting.”

Lake Cozy-Dale

Address: 10621 Cozaddale-Murdock Rd, Goshen, OH 45122, USA

Campground Park Lodging Restaurant

“As Full Time RV Living we were referred to Lake Cozy-Dale. Being that we are not from the area, and only had pictures to go off of on Facebook, I really didn’t know what I had signed us up for. When we arrived, in May, it was so picturesque and well maintained. Linda was super informative and friendly and got us all checked in. We had 4 different sites total, which every single time everyone was so accommodating with us moving. We spent a good six months here at Lake Cozy-Dale. We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay there, the bait house has amazing food and snacks, the activities that are held around holidays, the neighbors are friendly and the owners Heidi and BJ go above and beyond. Great monthly rates too. I definitely recommend checking this place out, even if it’s just for a night! They have cabin rentals too!! Thank you for our extended stay! We appreciate the hospitality!”

Hocking Hills Camping & Campground

Address: Hocking Hills Family Fun Center and Riverside Campground, 26633 Main St, Rockbridge, OH 43149, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great staff. Hands down outstanding! Made sure we were comfortable and very knowledgable about the area. We stayed in the upper campground.. the first few photos. The basic electric sites are close together. Like TIGHT. We paid $37.10 for one night. We were the only ones there. So it didn't matter. The lower campground is marked. Be careful staying down there in wet weather... it's mud path and you can get stuck. Bath house is on the hill..all individual. No sharing.. clean. Nice. There's a pool.. putt putt, go carts, and kayak and canoe adventures. Also small cabins. All new picnic tables this year. Nice place. Honestly.”

Oak Point State Park

Address: Bayview Ave, Put-In-Bay, OH 43456, USA

Park

“Nice quiet spot to pull over, park your cart and eat lunch or dinner and chat with your friends. I did not see any washrooms. The views of the harbor and docked boats were great. Plenty of Geese in the area, so watch your step. A few people were fishing in the area. There were some tables and a pavilion nearby.”

John Repko Field

Address: 3066 Clifton Ave, Lorain, OH 44055, USA

Park

“Great drug deals”

Hinckley Township Sledding Hill

Address: Hinckley, OH 44233, USA

Park

“Probably the best public sledding hill in the greater Cleveland area. It's long and has a pretty decent pitch so you can get rippin on a good day. The moguls always come into play here. Because the hill is a little more on the narrow side, good luck avoiding them lol Given how bumpy the hill is in the middle and how many people are there, collisions usually can come into play. It's not a bad idea for the little ones to sport a helmet to be on the safe side.”

Silver Springs Park

Address: 5238 Young Rd, Stow, OH 44224, USA

Park

“I take my dogs here all the time. The dog park is large and fenced in, giving them plenty of space to run unrestricted. The pond in the center is deep enough that dogs can swim if they want, but it has a fairly low slope at the edges so they can just wade. There is a separate, fenced off area for small dogs and puppies, and an airlock style double gate to make sure all the dogs stay in their designated areas. The grass is well kept, and the sandy beach area always has plenty of tennis balls laying around if your dog is inclined to play fetch.”

Indian Creek MetroPark Springfield Road Entrance

Address: 6500 Springfield Rd, Oxford, OH 45056, USA

Park

“Our first time visiting this park. We loved it. Beautiful, nice, and quiet little park. Nice trails that go down by the water. We will definitely be visiting this park more often.”

East Liberty Park

Address: 471 East Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, OH 44319, USA

“Paved walkway along the canal, some wildlife to observe while hiking. My dog certainly didn’t complain.”

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Akron-Canton

Address: 12712 Hoover Ave NW, Uniontown, OH 44685, USA

Campground Amusement park Rv park Meal takeaway Lodging Restaurant Park Store

“We stayed in a cabin, there was coffee still in the coffee maker, the one pan was not clean and there was a pair of shorts and shirt under the bed. I know it is the renter responsibility to clean (which I did do before we left this morning) but they also have cleaning ladies whom should double check everything when they clean. Needs a little more activities for older kids. Skylar & Diana were awesome with the activities tho, they were our favorite!! Every other staff person was wonderful to work with since before check in & during our stay!”

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Address: 4850 W Powell Rd, Powell, OH 43065, USA

Zoo Aquarium Park Amusement park

“One of the best days of our vacation was spent at this zoo! I would definitely come back again, this time maybe for The Wilds experience. We got there fairly early, not long after opening. FYI, there is a parking fee collected when you enter the lot, so be ready. We saw so many animals and had great views that allowed for some awesome pics. Definitely recommend spending the extra cash to feed the giraffes, too. I do this at any zoo that offers it and it never gets old. We covered most of the zoo in a very busy 3 hours, but if you want to take your time, you could easily spend a whole day. Oh, and I loved the Frosty cart, it was a great treat right before heading out. I haven't seen one like this anywhere else and it was a perfect ending to the day. Definitely recommend.”
