“Front Desk Staff, All 3 shifts were super friendly and helped with everything we need. Handy Man guy, deserves a raise. Fixed our issue and was super nice. You can tell he is one hard worker. Only issues we had was parking can be difficult late at night and walls are paper thin, so if you have loud people near you, good luck! The coffee shop next door is amazing!”

“It's actually a Double Tree by Hilton now. Very nice rooms, remodeled. Gold members get free continental bkfst or upgrade for $5. The mini gym is not bad either. Oh and it's right on the beach!”

“My wife and I spent a night here to get away form home for a bit. The room we stayed in was a corner room with Windows looking up the boardwalk as well as the typical ocean view. It was reasonably priced, clean and the staff was very courteous. The only things I saw was a little paint peeling from the ceiling, and we were woken up by the cleaning person, but she was told the we had already checked out, so not her fault. Overall we both enjoyed our stay.”

“Really nice for 2 Stars I was impressed. I did have a problem with the fact that I found a third remote in the couch of the cool out bed that still had sheets on it which let me further know whoever cleaned the room didn't clean it properly, had they change the sheets on the pull out bed they would have found the remote instead of replacing it with the new, one so now there's 3 remotes in the room????????????”

“This place is 5 stars. Very Modern design. Extremely nice adult pool and hot tub, and also nice pool for toddlers as well. Did I mention they give out towels as well! Best resort on the entire strip.”

“My spouse and I went to VA to celebrate my 32nd Birthday. I love the view and to actually listen to the waves day and night was great. I loved the housekeeping they assured cleanliness everyday. And great location to a lot of good curbside service. My room was 903 I recommend that room.”

“The Hilton Garden (and I believe other Hilton properties) allowed me and my wife to stay at this hotel free of charge for working in hospital care.. HUGE humanitarian offer during this time of pandemic and greatly appreciated! The lobby, hallways, and rooms were incredibly clean without smelling like chemicals. Parking was conveniently located across the street in a garage (normal parking anywhere at the oceanfront during tourist season is $10/day). The room was spacious and offered a great view, but the TV interface felt dated and limited (I recommend considering a more intuitive and responsive program guide service). Understandably, food services were not provided at the hotel but we wish we would've been informed at check-in which would help us plan ahead.. however they did provide menus of local restaurants that were still operating for take-out. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend to anyone visiting the oceanfront!”

“Trail riding at Charlie and Melissa’s Walking After Midnight Farm was one of the best experiences! The woods by the stream are breathtaking. The horses were gentle with a beautiful canter (I am a novice...it’s been years since horseback riding lessons). And the people were warm, personable, and super funny. I loved spending the day here. If I lived closer, I might be tempted to go every day. :)”

“Reasonable weekly rental rate. Clean and quiet. Could use light darkening curtain on window. They only take cash which is annoying. Overall a decent place to stay.”

“Our stay here was incredible. The property, accommodations, breakfast and customer service all exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the cabin, which was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had a view of the pond, and a cute little porch with rocking chairs. Dereck and Tiffany were amazing hosts and Dereck’s breakfasts were gourmet. We will definitely be back!”

“I have been a patient at several clinics in my life, and I must say this clinic is by far the nicest, cleanest, most professional, understanding, and most comfortable one I've ever been to. Its a caring medical atmosphere where I feel like my disease is the number one thing this place and its staff has in its first and best interest. From the front desk, to the counselor's to the nurses and security, to the director THEY ARE ALL AWESOME .”

“Amazing experience. The sangiovese cottage was a fantastic place to spend our anniversary. We loved everything about it. The prepared breakfast in the fridge reheated perfectly and was a nice treat as we could eat our breakfast on our terms. It was delicious, and the privacy we received while still being tended to was superb. Do not expect room service, but do expect a truly romantic vacation.”

“Westview is where I met my family, being surrounded by all these wonderful people for 10 weeks is truly an experience like no other. It really is a place apart where you can be a kid again and connect with your campers while growing your relationship with God. There is no place that I feel more connected with my faith than at Westview. You can see His work in everything at camp, whether it be through your fellow counselors, the kids that you meet, or His creation. Westview, in my opinion, is the key to your best summer ever.”

“My boyfriend and I spent a weekend on Tangier Island. Our airbnb host recommended that we get the takeout breakfast from Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House. We only needed one order because the portions were huge! We very much enjoyed our breakfast. We came back that evening for dinner. We were joined by 2 other couples and enjoyed a family style meal with our new friends. The food was good.”

“If you're looking to get away for a couple days, this is the place! If you are looking for bars and lots of choices to eat out, you'll want to stick with Virginia Beach. I suggest calling to rent the place directly from Claudine and Tommy to avoid the middleman charge on the home rental websites. They rent golf carts and bicycles through their restaurant, so be sure to reserve one when you call. It will make getting around on the island a lot easier. This is the type of place where you can let the kids go out with no worries. The kids who live on the island are running around all over the place, and even using the playground down the street near the school. As far as the island, there's not a ton of things to do, so be prepared. There's one grocery store that only gets one shipment a week, so it would be wise to bring your own groceries and snacks depending on how long you are staying. There are only a few places to eat, and only one is open year round. Many places are also closed on Sundays. The food was great, but fairly basic. Just about everything has to be brought in, so it's also not cheap. Expect to pay about $50 for a decent meal for two. We only ate out once each day. One important thing to know about Tangier is that no one sells alcohol, so bring your own. It's not illegal or anything, just no one on the island is licensed to sell alcohol. I brought my own cooler for the boat ride there. Once you arrive, the house has a full size refrigerator for everything. We got a couple frozen meals from the grocery store for later at night. The restaurants don't stay open late, and the grocery store closes even earlier. We were the first guests of the season, and Tommy had scheduled the satellite TV to be installed that day. Unfortunately, the installer missed the boat, so he couldn't make it until we left. This is just one of the realities of life on an island. There's just nothing you can do. It was no worries for us, but Tommy will make sure that this gets done, so I feel pretty confident it's installed and ready to go as I type this. You can tell from the pictures that Claudine and Tommy put a lot of work into decorating, and they did a wonderful job. They are great people and will make sure everything is perfect. The DSL internet speed probably isn't what you're used to if you live in the city, but it will get you by. The cell phone signal on the island is weak to non-existent, but there's a landline phone in the house, and wifi calling on the cell phones worked fine. When you arrive, you'll notice the distinctive accent of people who grew up here. They really tame it down for people from the mainland, but if you happen upon a group of watermen taking almost each other, you might need an interpreter. There are a lot of phrases used here that need translation, but you can visit the museum down the street to learn all about that. It's a fascinating place to visit, especially if you've never been here. I always seem to be drawn back to the island.”
