“So good! I am from the east coast and was in town for the weekend. I wanted authentic Mexican food and was told to go here by a local. It was SO GOOD! The food was cooked to order so it was hot. The beans are fully of flavor, I don’t even like beans and loved them! The taco itself was magical. It had flavors that we don’t get at the restaurants back home. I’m a culinary school grad with years of restaurant cooking experience. I love to cook and Mexican food is my favorite. This place had the authentic yummy flavors that only real Mexican places offer. I wish I could make this at home but it just wouldn’t be the same! I had the shrimp taco with guacamole added and my sister had the California burrito which she also loved.”

“I'm not a connoisseur of food. However, I am very, very selective and picky with what I eat. I must say I was kind of iffy about going to this restaurant. I hadn't heard of it before and I wasn't very sure about it. However, what I was interested in was a southern meal that kind of stood out from your regular meal that someone may cook at home. So, when I ran across from a random search of restaurants the Johnson's Kitchen restaurant my son and I hopped in the car and decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant was warm clean actually surprisingly well/comfortably designed with a homey feel. Now, I must say like me my son I am very picky. He's 12. When he first bit in his food he exclaimed. And to me that's to say a lot. I was immediately comfortable with the idea of eating the food because I knew from that the food was probably pretty good. And everything I bit into was absolutely delicious. The portions were definitely great.The one thing I love about a great meal is not only does it look very good, it actually tastes just as good as good as it looks! Needless to say, we've ( my son and I) already talked about how satisfied 😌 we were with our meals expressing how much we needed to go back! “My family reunion weekend visit to the Sand Bar was fabulous. All 8 grandkids had a blast! The pool was perfect and beautifully landscaped. The buckets of adult beverages were very reasonably priced and we enjoyed several of them. Some family members also enjoyed the corn hole in the soft sand and the arcade. “It's a nice owner owned cafe/restaurant with a nice ambiance. We were there for Sunday morning breakfast. From the beginning, staff and swerver were very attentive. We really enjoyed the decor and food. Food was delicious and also very nicely presented. Our server was attentive and brought us freshly brewed batch of coffee for refills. They had a live saxophonist playing a mellow jazz music for brunch hours. Looking forward to returning and trying their lunch and dinner too.”

“Their weekday specials are the definition of special. For example, Tuesdays, you can get a large combo basket (fish, shrimp, fries and hush puppies) for the price of a small combo basket. The level of seasoning is supreme. I would encourage you to taste before automatically adding salt. The best catfish I have had anywhere. The hush puppies and other items are delicious too. There was enough food for my wife and I to share one basket and have leftovers. Every item was hot and fresh. (Note: We couldn't wait, so we ate some before I took the picture.) Last year, we came here on our last night in town. This year we came on our first night in town, allowing for making this an option for another meal while we are here.”

I think the price went up a few dollars in that time, though that's not surprising. “Pick N' Roll was recommended by a neighbor of ours. Overall our experience was great. Good food for a reasonable price. Google listed it as less busy than normal & that was accurate. We were the only people inside when we arrived at about 6:30pm. Throughout our stay dining in, a dozen + more people came & went. You take a menu & check off what items you want. At the register they confirm the order & you pay. The food is prepared fresh, either crafted or cooked, after you order it. You take your receipt & a buzzer to communicate when your order is complete. This is not fast food speed, but I feel it is faster than a "sit-down restaurant" with a wait staff is. When we received the food, everything came in tin "to-go" style bowls & we shared potluck style, passing bowls around. I will note that item's marked "spicy", are spicy. More so than we like. Not a bad thing as "spicy" is in the name, just be aware. At the end of the night we were full. The 3 staff members we interacted with were a pleasure. If you are think about trying it, I would recommend giving it a go!”

“I've been meaning to check this place out since I moved here in 2022. I love Neapolitan pizza and was recommended this place by a lot of coworkers since they know I review pizza restaurants. With that being said, the pizza was fresh and well-balanced. Savory sauce, crispy pepperoni, and foldable crust. Definitely one of the best tasting pizzas I've had in the Dayton area. My margarita was perfectly mixed and tasted exactly as I make them at home. I deducted a star due to a cold, uninviting environment and staff. Also, the prices are way too high for such a small portion of pizza. $65 for two personal pizzas, one house salad, a bottle of beer, and one margarita. I would maybe come here again alone to make it cheaper, but I'll most likely stick with a cheaper restaurant.”
