“This place is an absolute treat! I've been here several times, for dinner and just for snacks. They have a grill going outside so the meat has that nice charbroiled crispness to it. “I visited the Fire Island Lighthouse and asked one of the volunteers for a seafood restaurant recommendation for me and my German friend who is visiting. Got an enthusiastic tip to try B & B Fish and Clam and I am so glad I did! We started with the fried oysters. They were large, lightly breaded and succulent. The taste was a perfect balance of fresh oyster sweetness and briny saltiness, in a light fried bite that was still deliciously juicy. We also split the steamed seafood combo with mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp, and sweet corn. The broth was excellent and the seafood perfectly steamed. Definitely putting this on my Return Again list.”

“This place is adorable. Highly recommend making a reservation for a spot. It is Located inside the Sherman library and gardens and admission is $5. But once you are inside you can wander and look at all the plants before your reservation. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating out in the garden. We sat outside and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. For drinks we started with garden punch (non Alcoholic) and the bird of paradise. Both were very refreshing after our walk around the garden. We of course had to get the biscuits and they were very flavorful and the whipped butter and their citrus infused honey paired really nicely. I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked with a roasted assortment of summer veg and basil mashed potatoes. My husbands lamb shank fell of the bone and the sauce was very flavorful. For dessert we split the strawberry pavlova and it was really balanced. Parking is available on the street and there is also a parking lot right next to it. Can’t wait to go back. They also offer a tea set which I can’t wait to try!”

You can’t go wrong with any variations of pancakes on their menu but their Lemon Ricotta is my favorite! Their service is excellent, the atmosphere is that of a typical small breakfast cafe. I definitely get my moneysworth. They don't flake on the meat or toppings. Plenty of guacomole. I usually get a side of chips to dig into the bowl, and it's a filling combination, which is saying something - I have an appetite working 12 hr days. At least a dozen salsas to choose from. Several meat options. Wide variety of drinks to but I'm stuck on the horchata. I get it to go most of the time, and it's still hot when I reach my destination. Even the chips are still warm. The place is definitely worth a shot.”
