“Cute park. Was great to have the kids play while my husband and I took turns at the polling place. It’s in a little disrepair though. It has a skateboard park, splash pad, swings, climbing wall and several slides in addition to the several ball fields. Perfect for all ages.”

“It’s rare that I give a park 5 stars but this one takes the cake! So here’s the run down. This park is actually 3 different parks, traditional, earthy and athletic. There is ample parking, 4 coed restrooms, handicap parking, and two small picnic shelters. The traditional park has a large play structure, a sand pit, a carousel type swing, two short zip lines, and swings. They have baby swings where parents can swing with their child and adaptive swings that latch. There’s also a path around the park. If you do 12 laps, it’s a mile. It’s also fenced in. The earthy park as two swings, two slides in a hill, a rock that kids can climb and a larger climbing structure. It also has a longer zipline. The athletic park has a ninja warrior type obstacle course. It also had workout equipment for multiple different workouts. The athletic park and earthy park or surrounded by a track that has lanes for walking and cycling. 4 times around the track is a mile. This park has everything we look for in a park and caters to children and adults. It’s l hours of fun!”

“Some friends and I floated down the river. We called and made rhe reservations which was super easy and we got there and filled our waivers out then actually drove to the end to park our vehicles and they drive you to the drop in spot and go over everything with you. And that way when your done you get out and your at your car and don't have to wait for anyone to come and pick you up. Slightly bumpy the first lil bit then smooth sailing the rest of the way. They also have cooler rafts you can rent to hold for drinks and snacks which I highly recommend so you can stop for a picnic!”

“Had a wonderful (but hot) time at the dawg park. They have done a nice job with setting up water bowls and shade! The fur babies had fun And we even had time to hop across the road and take pictures of sunflowers!”

“I enjoyed it. Few things: They have wooded areas as well as what I call the parking lot. We were in the "parking lot" we had space to pull everything out but we also were woken up a few times by the neighbors as they were out walking around in the gravel. The sites in the wooded area you must pay attention to the map when choosing sites. Some sites were only 30 amps, some sites shared water, etc etc. The tent sites all were on individual risers. There's piers you can fish. I saw 2 playgrounds There is a bigger playground at the marina which is next to the campground . Overall I will call There again. We paid $45 a night. No late night check in but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly.”

“Great facility, owners and staff. Excellent footing and grooming of the competition arena as well as the two warm-ups. A round pen is available for use for those fresh youngsters, too. Lots of parking. Easy in and out.”

“This is a very secluded and peaceful RV Park. Has large shelter for events and activities. Also has a lake within walking distance if you want to do some fishing. There are a few trails in this area as well. Site has a kitchen, firepit area, bathrooms and shower rooms on site.”

“Simple. Quiet. Gravel sites close to each other. Some lake view sites. Pretty lake. Friendly owner. Lake and pier for fishing, no swimming. Boat ramp. Fairly level sites. Laundry room. Bath house. Somewhat wheelchair friendly. Basketball hoop. Small playground. First time here checking it out. Rained off and on, which kept us from being outdoors more, but it was warm and no wind, as typical for this area. North Carolina is so beautiful.”

“Nice place to stop and enjoy being outside. You can listen to the river and bird's. Very clean, great place for a family picnic. It has several grills and picnic tables. It has steps all the way down to the water edge.”

“Cute playground and sand/water play area. Unfortunately couldn’t figure out the water pump feature 😅 not sure if it’s functional right now. but it’s a nice playground regardless and the sand box has some toy trucks in there for all to use. Side note for if you’re taking younger kids or those sensitive to the sun- This is a very sunny area and very little shade (some of the benches are in shade and there are covered pic nic areas on both sides of the playground) if you head there in the summer the play sets definitely get quite hot to the touch.”

“Rolling View campground is a very nice facility. We have stayed here on several outings since we purchased our Class A motorhome September 2018. It has become one of our go to place since its only three hours from our home in New Bern NC. There are nice wooded semi private sites mostly off of the Falls Lake. Roads are paved, sites are gravel with varied degrees of level. Fire rings and picnic tables are located at each site. RV sites have 30 and a 10 amp receptacles. There is also water located at each site. The general appearance of the park very pretty. It has rolling hills surrounded by beautiful hardwood forrest with lots of wildlife including birds, grey squirrels, rabbits, deer and others. It's a very peaceful, pleasant place to unwind. There is a fishing pier located on B loop. We haven't used any of the bath/shower facilities so I can't comment on those. There is a sewer dump located near the park entrance. Unless you want to do multiple setups I would highly recommend a portable potty tank for convenience. Overall I would have rate the park Five Stars. I only chose Four because 50 amp service would be a great option for units with multiple AC unit operation during very hot weather! Unfortunately, larger RVs do get quite warm with high temps but are still manageable if start cooling early morning so you can help get past the peak high temperatures.”

“AWESOME PARK!!!!! 1.) It is beautiful and very well kept. 2.) Playgrounds still look almost brand new, and are brightly colored. 3.) There a THREE different playgrounds here all together! 4.) It also has in their wooded area, the nicest disc golf course I have ever seen! So beautiful here, all the nature! There’s also two small ponds at the park. Has a picnic shelter for parties too. GREAT PARK! Awesome fun playgrounds!”

“Gorgeous Park with tons to offer. Off Leash Dog Park, Disc Golf, Challenging Hiking Trails, Playground, Clean Restrooms, Tons of Picnic Tables and Benches, Mountain Bike Trails, and more... I actually spent 2 days at this park recently and Did all the Hiking Trails and Fields. A Loop and Reverse B Loop, Finished by the Nature Trail. A Loop is Moderate and secluded, but deeper you will find the Strenuous and challenging Loop B. You can easily hike 3 to 4 miles and be secluded from the world. I spent my time filming for my YouTube Channel "The Trail and Hike Channel" and it got pretty crazy. Alot went wrong, mistakes were made, and I paid the price. Check out the channel and Subscribe to find other hidden treasures and join my journeys to a healthier life both Physically and Mentally. (The Video from this adventure will be out August 12th, 2022) Highly recommend this park for anyone. If you like trail walking, A Loop. If you like Hiking and a challenge, B Loop in Reverse. Plenty of friendly critters and sights to behold.”

“Took my 13 year old son up here for the weekend. I’ve been wanting to check it out for some time, and the entire experience was even better than I expected. Lane runs a chill, mellow, festival - community vibe space. He was always just an email away, and spent plenty of time hanging around to make sure my kiddo and I were well taken care of. The longer river float was one of the most peaceful days spent on a river (okay - minus the appalachiarantulas lol) and the spot we camped, just on the other side of the river, was quiet and calm. Lane took plenty of time to make sure we had everything we needed, including safe places to camp and chill, dinner recommendations, and some great conversation. If you’re looking for a grassroots place to truly relax away from the hustle of state park camping, you’ve got to check this place out. We will definitely head back up to hopefully enjoy some midsummer tunes, maybe some yoga with a new yoga friend (Alicia everywhere we go, there we are!) and overall tap into the mellow nature that surrounds the land and the spirit of Jessup Mill. Thanks for such a great time you guys!”

“This is a friendly down to earth real people campground. The folks are great and work so hard to make sure things go right. It has natural beauty to it and a small town nearby for groceries and gas. Gonna make this a regular place for us. They have the usual small store here for campers and refill propane. They have a cute mini-golf course and a nice pool. Don't expect fancy but expect relaxing and satisfaction.”

“Free access to Jordan Lake for flat water and is also the take out for the lower Haw. Lower Haw is a class III run that changes drastically with differing water levels. Really fun section with some great play for competent whitewater kayakers. Know what you're getting into before paddling this section of river. ... Or any river for that matter :)”

“Nice little park! The playground is really close to the parking lot, so plan on watching younger kids who may wander. The musical fixtures were missing some pieces but they were still fun to play with sticks. The pollinator garden was beautiful and I loved the insect hotel. Very well thought out, although it looked slightly vandalized (bamboo pieces pulled out and falling apart). Still really neat. We only walked a bit of the trail but everything was relatively clean. We went on a Saturday and it was lively! Kids playing soccer, a baby shower, and lots of people walking dogs. Will definitely visit again.”

“A shallow water river access, wade height across the whole Haw river here. Fun for all ages & a simple stone access down to the waters edge. There are also easy to walk trails, and a popular place to bring dogs on leash for exercise.”

“came here to watch NC State men's tennis team play in the ITA Regionals place be lookin moldy, musty, ghetto, apocalyptic, and suspicious at times but it be getting the job done, i cant lie to you. it's also spacious, and i really love the seats at the far-east courts where the ITA Regionals took place. i had a really nice view of the guys playing, and i had a great time.”

“I really like this park. There are two sides. One for big dogs and one for small dogs. I go in the morning and its usually pretty empty. There are a lot of people at the actual park while only one or two maybe at the dog parks. The big dog park is closest to the car parking and the fence runs along the back length of the park. There's a nice open area with benches and a really nice walking trail in the wooded area. There's a lot of room for fetch and chase. The small dog park is next to the big dark park on the right. There's a huge open field for your dog to play in and a nice wooded walk trail in the back with benches. We have played on both sides and my dog lives them both. There's a water fountain for humans and a faucet to fill water containers for dogs. There are also poop bags and big trash cans that look pretty clean.”

“Great “get-away” spot on the Eno River for kayaking or canoeing. If your timing is right, you might see Amtrack or a freight train pass overhead. About a 100 yd. walk from the parking lot to the kayak launch. Two river options upstream.”

“Durham is a place for trails and hikes. Happened to visit the Cabelands Trail. Is a virgin trail where you are not likely to meet anyone else. You walk along the river most of the time amidst the nature. Recommended for one of those mornings!”
