“Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and courteous. We were fortunate enough to be able to move from one of the campers to one of the cottages. The trailers are just too small for our comfort which included 4 people. We're excited about the water taxi that's coming soon. The only issue we had that was cured by moving into one of the cottages was the cleanliness of the campground bathhouse. I encourage you to focus more attention on the bathhouse. Other than that it was a very pleasant and relaxing vacation. Thank You!”

Hanes Park

Address: 1404 W Northwest Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104, USA

Park

“Great location, close to shops and restaurants. We parked on the street and had no problems doing so. Very cool playground for older kids. I wanted to play on it! Tallest slides I've ever seen on a playground! Unfortunately the smaller playground recommended for ages 2-5 was a no-go for my toddler. Everything is very elevated so there's a huge gap before the stairs, under the slide, etc. (I included some pics for reference) making it hard for him to reach anything and making mom a little nervous about him falling if he was able to get up. He couldn't get up on the structure so he just enjoyed some people watching and running around. There's a cute ladybug rocker he enjoyed too. To be fair he is not quite 2 but he is tall and usually has no problem on other playgrounds with that same age recommendation. I noticed some older kids (maybe 4 or 5) also struggling to climb up on the small playground, really odd design! Going to give it another try when he's a bit taller/older.”
