“Staff was SO friendly! Breakfast was incredible- way more than we were expecting. The pool was such a hit with the kids and we were sure to visit it every morning! The rooms were big and comfortable. Our only complaints were that the door was tricky to open- the key card needed to be swiped 5-10 times before it would do the trick. And there was a funky smell in our room, but it was mild enough to ignore. Overall this place was great, and a great location too! Close to lots of restaurants & shopping, and a short distance from some beautiful places to visit.”

“I was very happy staying here! Great price and the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Big rooms with living room area. Within walking distance of everything you'd want to see. I will be coming back when I stay at Virginia Beach. While parking can be an issue, I have a small car it wasn't a problem for me. I didn't drive anywhere else while I was there. Just walked.”

“We visited in mid September. We had a suite, brought 3 kids and the dog. The suite had a queen bed, pull out couch, small kitchenette and a separate bedroom with another queen bed and the bathroom. Breakfast is a 10/10, the beach was not crowed in the least. The pet free play area was great for our dog who isn't used to going to the bathroom on leash. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I gave the room 4 stars because our remote didn't operate the TV, only the cable box (so volume, on/off had to be manual) and I wished there was a broom/dustpan in room for sand clean up. I bought one at the Dollar Tree and left it in the closet. We bought food and used the kitchenette instead of eating out, however there is no cookware. Again, nothing that can't be brought/bought at dollar store. Pets aren't allowed on the beach from memorial day to labor day, heads up. We watched dolphins play every day, it's 20 minutes to VA beach/tourist stuff. Absolutely awesome, highly recommended and we hope to be back!!”

“I traveled for work the past few years and this was my first stay in a Marriott hotel. This hotel is definitely one of the top nicest hotels I've stayed in ! The interior is amazing but I am more pleased with the customer service in this hotel. The first receptionist Bunny personally took time to come to the floor of our room to help with a minor issue we had with the key cards. She was so kind and made our stay very comfortable. The second receptionist Ivan made us appreciate this hotel even more ! While we payed for an extra night, the phones were ringing, guests were waiting behind me and It seemed he was also having an issue with the card reader but he kept his composure so well ! His calm manor during what I would've considered a stressful moment was very professional. Would absolutely stay here again if we are back in Richmond, VA.”

“A very pleasant experience at the Wendy's restaurant located in Potomac Run Plaza in Sterling, VA off Route 7. At first,I was at the drive-thru, but I asked if diving in was possible once confirmed, I parked and proceeded inside where I ordered the Number two, the Baconator with three straps of hamburger meat. It was a combo with fries and a drink. Once, I received my meal the assistant manager came to soak with me because I was taking pictures. He was very nice and asked why I was taking pictures. We got into a great conversation as I explained I was a Google Maps z Local Guide, visiting restaurants and providing my opinion of my overall experience. He was very pleased and gave me the background of this particular Wendy's, which had been at this location for about thirty years. In addition, two years ago the store went through a renovation, which explains why the place was so immaculate as far as cleanliness. He explained that every fifteen minutes they clean the facility for customers and maintaining their COVID-19 regulations. In any case, I was very satisfied with my visit and the hospitality demonstrated. The did was good, the service above average and the management's effort to ensure I was going to enjoy my visit.”

“We came during Hurricane Ian because my son was returning from almost a year long deployment. We showed up around noon and not only did we check in we actually were able to get into our room. The entrance was very clean and inviting, they even provide free bottles of water. We checked our room out before bringing our luggage in, the room was spotless, comfortable and the a/c was super cold!! Upon going down to get our luggage the manager of the hotel brought up the elevator for us and thanked us for staying there. (We have NEVER had that happen in all of our travels to hotels)!!! He was also very busy checking things….again most managers you never even see! I was impressed! Now let me get to the true star of the hotel…..Ms. Michelle…what a gem! She provided crayons and coloring pictures for my grandson to occupy him and even asked him to give her one to hang up on her wall. Then she assisted us in getting a second room for my son due how late he was getting back that evening…...AND (probably out of her own pocket) got a bottle of wine for he and my daughter-in-law to celebrate with. I can’t even express enough how Ms. Michelle went above and beyond to make the celebration of my son’s return more enjoyable!!!!!! I can only wish that all hotel stays were this pleasant!!!”

“All we need is operational TV, A/C, microwave, refrigerator, clean and safe. They need to work on the clean part, put in an area outside for guests to rinse the sand off before entering the rooms, that will benefit both guests, housekeeping AND the pipes! Spend some money on nighttime security to walk the grounds and run off vagrants & enforce a guests only parking on the lot, and someone to pick-up trash, those suggestions could make a WORLD of difference! We enjoy staying here, but we’re both adults and When traveling I always carry gloves, sanitizing spray & wipes and I’m not afraid to use them. We have come here 3 summers in a row and last October & plan to come again in October. The staff is always friendly and helpful to us. We’ve never had an issue that wasn’t resolved.”

“We were very skeptical about staying here but we had a very nice guy for a receptionist. I explained my husband was allergic to cigarette smoke n they made sure our room was very clean. Bathroom was spacious. Our bed was very comfortable. Didn't see any bugs no mold in our room. We stayed on ground level. Air conditioning was good. Great location close to shopping near the beach and good restaurant areas. We could have used a couple more towels but we brought our own anyway but we had a great stay here”

“So far so good. The cabin is really cute and functional. Grateful to have the pet friendly option, I believe there is only one cabin designated for it. It's notable that the floors are somehow quite slippery... My kids keep falling (just wearing their socks or stepping on a piece of clothing/ something else that shouldn't have been left there anyway...) I'm not complaining, I figure it may be helpful for someone, especially elderly, to know beforehand so they can bring grippy socks or slippers. I also appreciate the close playground. There is no hand soap, bar or liquid, at either sink. There is dish soap at the kitchen sink however.”

“I had ordered a firearm to get sent to their shop but before I could even receive it I got tasked to deploy. While I was gone they held it for me until I returned. When I got back the first thing I did was go to the shop. The couple was sweet professional and knowledgeable. It seemed as though they actually cared about my safety. It didn’t feel as though they were just trying to sell me something. I appreciated the experience and I will definitely be returning.”
