“This was interesting, I think if they offered guided tours it could be way better. Also, you cant climb up to any of the planes. The best part for me was the indoor museum at the end. It's a lot of walking outside so bring comfortable shoes. They do offer scooters for people who need assistance walking long distances. A little pricey in my opinion. I paid $36 for one adult and a teen child.”

The scenery is breathtaking, the lodge is gorgeous and the memories will last a lifetime. Jen and Steve were a joy to work with. “What a wonderful find! This place is very special. The wildlife viewing is terrific, huge jackrabbits, cottontail bunnies and plenty of deer. Muffy's garden is huge and well utilized in her delicious breakfast with squash and herbs in her yummy omelettes, vege goodies in her muffins and even homemade tomato juice. The rooms are clean and well appointed and ample furniture in the lovely inside sitting room complete with TV and wood stove, but better yet, lots of outside seating for wild life viewing around the pond.”

“I think we were one of the first to stay here, I'm glad we found it. Very clean and a great location to travel between the other keys. It's also down the road from Robbie's if you want to feed some massive fish! There's a nice park (Founders) near by with a beach, there's a few stores and nice bars in the area too. Internet was good. The s'mores were a great touch! Would stay here again.”

“We had a great 5 night stay. Quiet neighborhood. We felt like locals, living on the water. Great location: far enough away from noise, but close enough to see the area. Tight corners to pull in, but plenty of space once you're parked. The marina staff were very friendly and informative. They were especially helpful as we prepped for the incoming tropical storm. The free washer and dryer was a pleasant surprise. Clean and convenient bathhouse. *Don't forget to empty your grey/ black water before pulling in. Chassahowitzka River Campground has a dump site for $10.”

“Just moved here and the proximity to water via Lake Dunlap is wonderful! The manager, Karla, is a sweet lady asks her warm demeanor was a big factor in my decision to make this my new home. The location is right off a busy roadway which can be tedious when leaving but there's also a great restaurant next door and a large convenience store, had station, Wendy's & Subway across the road. Only four miles from I-35 and New Braunfels which is a fun and historic little city with lots to do!”

“This is a place that every child feels connected and appreciated. The staff is remarkably responsive to individual children's needs. The facilities are well kept and safe. There is an activity for every type of child and encouragement from staff to try new things. My son had a greater appreciation for nature, himself, his family, his religion and his world when he returned home. Staff is available before, during and after camp to discuss any questions, comments or concerns. “This was such an amazing getaway, we can't wait to go back next year! The deer right outside of the window the first morning we woke up was such a treat and the view was AMAZING. My son said it was the best vacation he ever had and wants this to be our yearly spot for vacations. The town of Bandera was really cute and the Fickle Pickles were delicious! “We have been coming here for years, even when the previous owners had the campsite. Let me tell you the new owners are absolutely amazing! Brad , Danielle and Tyler and all the staff go above and beyond to make your experience a great one! They have done so much to make it a better family fun campsite! Our kids always have the best time! Tons of activities for the kids and adults! Corn bag tournaments and bingo are always a good time! Lots of fun theme weekends! Ice cream shop, arcade and a great clean well maintained pool! The bathrooms and shower houses are clean and well kept! That was a big one for us! Just a quick 4 min or less drive to cannon falls and you have everything you could really need in a small town. Grocery’s, coffee, multiple restaurants an amazing bakery. This is our favorite place to camp in the summer and it’s only a short drive to the metro so extended stays on weekdays work out perfect!”
