“This is a beautiful park. Has a beach for swimming and a hiking trail, which was quite nice. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because they are still in the process of repairing, but they've come along way in putting this park back together. One of my favorites.”

“I stopped by to check it out n already came back twice. The staff is extremely kind and will answer any and all questions you have. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here, and we have enjoyed talking with all of the people we've spoken to. You can just be yourself. Haven't stayed in a room yet, but we're planning on it! We were newbies and wanted to try it out. Happy we did! Great place n great people!”

“It would depend on what it is you are looking for. The beach area was unfortunately so packed you would barely have room for your family. Fishing around the locks and launch was great. Long area where you can spread out and enjoy the peacefulness of the river.”

“The best city park I've ever seen for the variety and abundance of opportunities for enjoyment. Peaceful hiking trails, lots of picnic areas, activity areas for water sports, fishing, biking and lawn games. You can see everywhere that this is a thriving ecosystem; in just one short drive today we saw squirrels (black and grey), chipmunks, hawks, herons, ducks and a small herd of deer.”

“We really enjoyed our stay! The park is kept clean, is maintained well, has many options for recreation and was easy to book online. Our site had awesome Adirondack furniture to enjoy too! The only 2 things that could have made it better are if our site had more shell and less dirt (with the dew, our RV was pretty dirty) and if the other patrons had picked up after their dogs in the dog run area. I spent my dog walking time picking up after other people's dogs so my dogs didn't step in it or worse. We will definitely be back though!”

“Absolutely fantastic place to camp. Beautiful lake, clean campgrounds and facilities and free boat rentals if you rent one of the air streams. Very well-maintained and well-stocked air streams with quaint names and color themes. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. LCRA owns and operates the air streams. The GLATs are apparently owned by a third party company. No wifi at the air streams. Use your own hot spots. Decent cellular connection. The company that operates the GLATs apparently provides wifi.”

“The actual park is a little bit of a walk from the parking area. There isn't any signage either. There is a sidewalk leading there, though. It is well shaded, but there isn't much grass. It's mostly dirt and sand; I wouldn't suggest taking your puppy here after it's rained. The people and dogs I've met here have been very friendly. It was a great place for my 3 huskies to run and play when we lived in the area. Lastly, there are water fountains there for pups to have a drink after playing hard. Be a good pet parent and clean up after them, please. 😉”

“This is a great place to just take a break from it all. There are lots of hiking paths and places to just sit and chill. No matter what season you visit, you are bound to find something new that takes your breath away. There are seven different trails ranging from 0.8 miles (1.3 km) up to 5.3 miles (8.5 km) with views of Mill Lake, Spring Lake, and Crooked Lake.”
