“This is a quiet little state park I just realized existed. I came here for a special geocaching challenge that the Rangers set up. Not a lot of people here, so it was very peaceful and quiet – as relaxing as I was hoping it would be. There's also a small campground, and quite a few people in there today. I could not find a trail map, and the one on my phone wouldn't load a great deal of the time, but I quickly found out the trails are very easy to navigate. I took a side trail out of curiosity, and ended up standing in the parking lot where my car was. For the most part, it is accessible to all. There is what appears to be a hiking, or just walking, trail along the road, the whole way. I didn't see many people hiking, but the cyclists use the road.”

“A nice park for biking and some walking, didn’t think it was the best for a stroller or wagon with a toddler... the location lends it to being quite windy and the noise from the traffic overwhelmed my son. They do have a playground that has slides suitable to toddlers which is great.”

“What a fantastic find here with a really nice little museum with historical displays and free admission. Lots of pamphlets, tourist brochures and some freebies too. Could have spent more time here but was travelling north to Seatac and was on a relatively tight schedule.”

“South Lido Beach has become my family's favorite beach in the Sarasota area. It's improved drastically from when I was a youth. Lots of white sand, plenty of parking, and a newer restroom tower make it easily accessible. Also, there are a good number of shells that wash up on the beach so it's fun for the kids to go beachcombing while we're there. There are multiple picnic tables and space for gatherings.”

“Love this place..punkin vine trail runs from elkhart all the way to Middlebury and has great nature and side trails along the way. Peaceful place. And Abshire hill is great for sledding in the winter. Been going there since I was a kid and now my kids do to.”

“This place is every spooky kids dream. Me. I'm every spooky kid, hi nice ta meetcha. But for real, this trail is awesome. Easy simple terrain for beginners to trek through and a more challenging course for the advanced bikers. The ambient horror is certainly a plus for those who love Halloween all year long. 100/10 will go here all the time. In fact, this place is horrible. Awful. Full of mosquitoes and poison ivy. You'd hate hiking and biking here. It's ok, I'll take care of it. You just leave provisions at the gate. 😂”

“What a nice beautiful campground. Almost everything is new and modern. The staff is friendly and easy to get along with. The pool, pavilion and two lakes are awesome. One lake is for fishing and the other is for swimming. Most of the sites are seasonal however there are several sites open to overnight camping.”

“We love it here. It's gorgeous. The washing machine on our side didn't work but there's another one on the other side that works. We just went to Jackson and did our laundry there. I'm staying here while I look for housing in McDonough which has proved the worst move in my military career. I've moved 8 times and I'm thankful to have this campground and a trailer. You can only stay in GA state parks for 2 weeks at a time. After two weeks, you have to move. I came here from High Falls State park. If you have kids with you, you might like High Falls better. I prefer Indian Springs. It's been quieter and the sites are just cooler here. You have a little fence and it feels like home. There are healing springs here that you can go lay in or hang out. We haven't done that but you can see people in the water at the entrance to the park. Looks refreshing in this heat.”

“Beautiful hike, love this place, only one hill that goes straight up but it's small, the rest are moderate inclines or flat land with wood walk ways and beautiful scenery. We did all the trails except the small wet land loop and it was only 1.6 miles. Would be an easy trail for kids as well.”

“Not a walk in the park and not for the weak of heart, it is a Wildlife area. I was there in May of 2017 after a week of rain. The river was up and so the waterflow was dangerous for even adults. The path to the river was overgrown with poison ivy. Still, I enjoyed the walk with my dog, spotting wildflowers on the way and catching fleeting glances of deer. Had to steer clear of dead carp that escaped from a pond, who didn't make it all the way to the the river and freedom.”

“We really enjoy Brownville campground. It's kept clean. It's quiet. The river is great for cooling off or swimming. There are gators here though, so you swim at your own risk. They didn't seem interested in us, but we're interested in the dog. If you have a dog that likes to swim be very watchful of the gators. Well come again for sure.”

“We loved Cortadera park. It has wood chips, but my littles had fun there anyway! This park is amazing for climbing and running. There is a field for soccer players and a pond full of frogs. My boys had fun trying to catch them 😉”

“We had a relaxing time at Yell Dell. We spent about two hours enjoying wandering the grounds looking at the beautiful plants and unique trees. There was an adorable fairy trail to walk through and a castle with a wedding just finishing up. They do have a nice cafe and seating that is covered overlooking open space. Clean restrooms and signs everywhere naming the plants and trees. If you can walk without difficulty there is a path around two ponds on their property adjacent to the castle. You have to take the stairs down to a grassy path. Head to the concert that has a gate. It almost looks like you are entering a restricted area but it is still the property of Yell. They have cute Gnome’s sporadically placed along the hiking paths. I loved that and they have names. We purchased a couple of pots for my plants in their nice gift shop.”

“Nice facility. Very clean, except for one "accident " that had not been cleaned up. No cleanup bags were available the day I was there. Several bare spots could stand to be over seeded. All in all, as long as patrons obey the posted rules there should be no problems.”

“There's a good dirt path to walk and jog on. Also, there are 2 dog areas for your dog(s). Water dishes and fresh water are provided along with poop bags. It's too bad that some people don't pick up after their dogs.”
