Maritime Rocks Accessway at Big Rock Beach

Address: 20466 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265, USA

“I made a delightful discovery at Maritime Rocks coastal access managed by the MRCA. The overlook has a nice bench covered by a shady tree. Although traffic on PCH can be noisy, sitting for awhile made it almost disappear. There is a second gate a few feet away with a stairway leading down to this rocky beach. Posted on the gate is a sign reading Big Rock Beach access and another with a QR code to check the tide chart. The stairway leading down to the beach is sturdy and well made. This is a nice stop for breakfast burrito or a sandwich. Enjoy!”

The trail is a little rocky here and there but not too hard and definitely worth the effort. It is well marked. You feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere but it's only a 45 minute drive from PS. The area is so pretty and there were still some snow patches.”
