Location is perfect as a driver bobtail waiting for my show to load out right across the street from pilot. They have safe parking for bobtail only. They have CDL discount too . “The Farmhouse deserves 6 stars at least! That beautiful property is a hidden gem in the area - I don’t even know where to start describing it. It consists of two buildings: elegant main house, stunning decorated with antics, and a barn house, with more casual vibe. They serve you a yummy, freshly prepared and beautifully presented 3-course breakfast. Jacob and Rae who hosted as are the best hosts you can wish for: super friendly and welcoming, extremely helpful and great cooks! “I've seen some poor reviews here, but the problems we experienced were from irresponsible destructive campers rather than the site or staff. Both volunteer ladies here are wonderful. Maintenance people are team workers and dedicated to their jobs. Someone was a jerk and stuff garbage into the dump station rather than in the dumpster right there. I called the project office and within 30 minutes 3 people were working on it. They kept working until it was again usable and we could clear our tanks. They stood by to be sure it continued until we finished. Definitely friendly and good customer service. Site was fairly level and we had no problem leveling or space for both our car and motorhome. No problem with 50 amp hookup. Although the water spigot was quite a distance (50' m/l), we hooked it up. Didn't like the taste, and pets wouldn't drink it, so we bought bottled water in town. Town is only about 15 minutes away, and you can find most anything you need there. All in all, good campground and worth a return visit when in the area.”

“Pet friendly which was great! Room super clean. Staff on all shifts really nice. Hotel was used by several companies so lots of blue collar workers, all were very polite, courteous, and friendly. Definitely did not have any problems. And felt safe staying in room or waking dog alone. Also several restaurants around hotel for lunch or dinner. Breakfast they provided which was simple was good and hot. They had chocolate waffles which I have never seen at a Quality Inn before. They must have known I was staying before I did because I love chocolate and those were good. ☺️ I Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.”

“Feb. 2022, our 2nd stay in the Uwharrie National Forest, another small campground with electricity but no water at the individual sites, spigots around the campground. We were in loop C, site 72. Most of the camp sites had picnic table and firepit at the rear of the site, not along the side, which we found a little odd. Great trails nearby, although it was about a mile to the lake and the trailheads. Nice, big bathhouse with very hot water! While in generally good repair the bathhouse could use some fresh paint and a little TLC. Very friendly camp host who had free firewood for us. Lots of down trees and evidence of fire as we drove into the Forest, and saw the same along the hiking trails, which were well graded and marked. Some great views along the trails. Overall a great campground.”

“Cool place to stay for a couple of days if you don't lose all of your money in the casino downstairs. The room was clean and had heating and air conditioning with a nice shower, all for a fair price. I did go in the off-season for the horse racing and would like to experience it more when it gets more popular later in the year. Casino is only virtual tables and slots with no real dealers, but my wife and I still had fun making money on Roulette, then losing all the earnings. And don't forget the pool with a hot tub.”
