“A cute little park next to an adorable library, across from the projects that has been totally revamped in the last two years. Normally, a police helicopter is circling at some point during your visit, loud music is blaring, colorful language is being sworn & the skaters are getting high. My kids & now grandkid have all enjoyed this sometimes sketchy park.”

“Camp A Way Campground is our 128th stop and we stayed for 7 days. Very convenient to I80 and 180 and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Check in was quick and the staff was personable/professional and we were escorted to our site. Chose a patio site (smoker, fire pit, patio furniture, swing and extra landscaping) - our site was huge! Speaking of huge, the dog park was one of the biggest we have run across in our travel and had nice grass. The park is kept very clean as was the laundry room. There are very mature trees throughout the park which provide excellent shade on the warm days. In terms of road noise, there is some but hardly noticeable inside. If you have kids, this place would be excellent given all the activities they have available. All in all, would rate this park a 4.5 and would definitely stay here again in the future. Connectivity (2:30 pm): Verizon 241.0 down/26.8 up; T-Mobile 71.8 down/3.89 up; Camp WiFi 70.0 down/42.7 up and was excellent throughout our stay.”

“One of my favorite parks in town. Mini nature walk, children’s playground, an off-leash dog area and a soccer/baseball field. As a mom of a toddler I’m specifically interested in toddler friendly playground. My little one loves it here. It has a little sand box area and someone had a left a few toy trucks so the children can play with. I think that was my little ones favorite thing. Seems like a safe area/neighborhood , not in a busy street. We take public transportation and this park was not too far from Bus#75 ,just a few blocks.”

“I like this park. It has a couple playscapes that accommodates smaller toddlers to larger kids. There's also a large grass field to tops or kick a ball with kids.”

“What a nice, clean, and beautiful park, loved it. If you want playground for your kids, this is not the park to go to, it's more for walking beautiful allies It has a lot of branches around to seat and of course huge concert/any event spot. My friends had their kids' birthday here today, and it's a perfect park for that cause there is a lot of green space ( but you need to bring all your stuff 😜) P.S. Park has bathrooms, and they are clean 👌”

“The most beautiful park in the heart of Verrado. Lots of great activities here scheduled often. Christmas time is the best time with activities and beautiful decorations. The Christmas Tree is outstanding. Ciao Graze is close by with a great view of the park. Fall and Winter has a Farmers Market in Sunday’s. Great place for pictures, family fun or a nice quiet picnic.”

“Stepping into this enchanted park, one is immediately whisked away to an exquisite blend of art, history, and nature. The crown jewel? The Bonsai and Penjing Museum, a true testament to the patience and artistry of horticultural finesse. Each bonsai and penjing tells a story, with their gnarled branches and delicate leaves whispering tales of ages past and the dedicated hands that molded them. But just as you're immersing yourself in this miniature wonderland, the grandeur of regal columns beckons. Standing tall and majestic, these columns are not mere structures but relics from the capital. Their stately presence amidst the verdant surroundings creates a surreal blend of the ancient and the natural, evoking a sense of timelessness. In every nook and corner, the park harmoniously marries nature's raw beauty with the indelible marks of human craftsmanship. A visit to this park isn't just a walk; it's an odyssey that traverses through time, art, and nature's finest spectacles. Highly recommended for both the casual visitor and the discerning connoisseur.”

“The dynamic duo and I got 8 miles done the other day here. The Al Foster trail head is easy to find, a parking lot, restrooms and picnic pavilion. The trail is earthen tred and flat. It connects to both the Rock Hollow and Hamilton-Carr trails. It's quiet and mostly shaded.... Beautiful! There also a hiking trail that's accessable from Al Foster that we'll go back to try. I highly recommend these trails. Love that there are places like this so closer to home. It's about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis.”

“Cool little town in NJ that will make you feel like you are in Rural New England. Little stores and cafes, an awesome bike trail that will take you to High Bridge via the Ken Lockwood Gorge. And Tony's Bistro nearby offers some fantastic dining.”

“Great place for local folks to spend a day swimming, picnicking, hanging out and relaxing. I wouldn’t recommend it as a “tourist destination” but a great place to spend time if you’re already local. There’s tons of shady trees around the picnic area, but little tree coverage around the rest of the park. This is a day-use area only, and a fee area. It gets quite crowded on summer afternoons, but you’re able to spread out well enough. It’s not the cleanest beach, but certainly not the worst. The restrooms leave a lot to be desired but are functional. The picnic area feels like a full typical campground vibe without the campsites. Cement benches, grills and small campfire pits. Tons of great trees to hang hammocks, and it generally stays a little cooler thanks to the lake being on either side of you.”

“We visited the park twice in October/2023. First time we hiked the Rattlesnake Ridge and we actually almost stepped in a rattlesnake in the trail. Second time, We did the Lake trail by bike and it was a great experience. That was a few Fall colors. It must be prettier by November. The park is very well maintained, bathrooms were clean, there are showers and grills around. Great place to spend the day with family and kids too.”

“The lawns are very well maintained, with well maintained paved pathways. It is mostly a soccer and archery park, no hiking trails, or children's play area. The soccer fields are only to be used with a permit, so no practicing on your own. If stairs are an issue park at the east parking lot. There are two parking lots, which are good size for most days but if there are many sporting events at one time parking may be a problem. There is running water that they say is safe to drink but no running water for bathrooms. There are a few portable potties.”

“Very nice park with beautiful views of Manhattan. On the last day of our week in New York City, we bought lunch at a local deli, then came here to enjoy our meal. Sat on a park bench and enjoyed the view. Weather was beautiful.”
