“I was looking for a Cascade Falls Cypress Tree and called there on my way from Southern Pines to Cary and the lady on the phone checked and they had one so I went in to Garden Supply. What an AMAZING place with AMAZING people. I have been gardening over 40 years and been to many nurseries, greenhouses, etc. and had never seen anywhere but here that had such a variety and selection and top quality products. Everyone there that I spoke to or that spoke to me first we're so wonderful. Very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to deal with. I drove an hour to get here and if you're thinking of going and your drive is over an hour it's well worth the trip believe me. This place does not disappoint. Thank you so much to everyone at Garden Supply that helped me today. This is my one stop shop from here on in!”

Park Campground Lodging

“I read several negative reviews on this park before visiting and after staying for the night I really don't understand why. I would give it a true 3.5 rating. It is not as nice as a state park, yet not as bad as some of the KOA parks we have stayed. The park is nice for local boaters and has a swimming area. The restrooms were clean and had hot water. (The shower pressure could be a little stronger, but definitely met our needs). The park was pretty quiet after 10 p.m. and we slept well. We saw local police patroling throughout the park several times, which is a plus for safety. Our site was: level, had a covered picnic table, a grill, a fire pit, electrical hook up, and water spicket. We would definitely stay again if we were passing through.”

Saluti Cellars

Address: 7505 Grizzly Flat Rd, Somerset, CA 95684, USA

Park Lodging

“Northern CA wine aficionados will know how hard it is to get a good Barbera out of Napa, Sonoma, Livermore -- but the great news is SALUTI has nailed it! My daughter, sommelier-in-training, says Saluti's Barbera was the best she's ever tasted. She's scraping the Livermore dust off her feet and heading up to Somerset this weekend for a full tasting extravaganza. Not only is the Saluti tasting room beautifully appointed and rustic, not only are Tina and Randy welcoming, engaging and delightful, not only are the wines divine, but the overall experience is a slice of heaven. The scenic drive through Somerset, swirling through towering sugar pine forests, majestic as it is, does not prepare one for the sheer beauty of the descent on a perfectly paved broad driveway into the 250-acre canyon paradise which is Saluti Canyons. So stunning is the the Winery House and Bed & Breakfast architecture that I fully expected Kevin Costner and the Yellowstone cast to appear any moment. Hiking? Bocci ball, horseshoes? Wonderfully manicured gardens, charming patio seating, sloping vineyards, sprawling green lawns, scenic duck pond....Can I just move in? Strolling around the grounds and marveling at the wedding pavilion, I can understand why so many rave reviews for Saluti are from couples who celebrated their vows on these grounds. I will recommend cancelling any contracts you might have and rescheduling your event here.”

Grijalva Park

Address: 368 N Prospect St, Orange, CA 92866, USA

Park

“A favorite of mine with free parking for trail hiking or riding, as it’s safe and easily accessible with the upper and lower Santiago Trails! This park features lots of parking space, picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields, courts and an outdoor gym. The Grivalja Sports Center has plenty of indoor space also available. There’s a large central field, great for a game of soccer or football! Public restrooms are available and private group spots may be reserved as per reservations. Grijalva Park is within a residential community and away from the busy traffic, so the park users tend to be more local.”

Ocotillo Trail

Address: 2980 AZ-90, Benson, AZ 85602, USA

Park

“I hike this trail often for exercise and pure enjoyment. I prefer this trail to the Foothills Trail, not only because of the great views, but also because it is easier for me to hike. I get a great workout, but for a 63 year old I find traversing this trail is a bit easier as there is less rocky striations. The Ocotillo trail has rocky areas, but not the rough rocks of the Foothills Trail. I think the extra length of this trail makes up for the less intense climb.”

There was a soccer game on the field one Sunday so I had to wait until it was over, but during the week there aren’t games and it’s more available for use. There are bathrooms right near the track and easy parking.”

Brookside Gardens

Address: 1800 Glenallan Ave, Wheaton, MD 20902, USA

Park

“Brookside Gardens is an absolute gem of a botanical paradise. From the moment I stepped foot into this lush oasis, I was captivated by its beauty. The meticulously manicured gardens, brimming with a breathtaking variety of flowers and plants, left me in awe. The garden's design is a testament to thoughtful planning, with themed areas that transport you to different horticultural worlds. Whether you're wandering through the tranquil Japanese Garden, admiring the vibrant colors of the Rose Garden, or exploring the fragrant Butterfly Garden, each section offers a unique and enchanting experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the conservatory, a tropical haven filled with exotic plants and a stunning collection of orchids. It's the perfect escape on a chilly day or a rainy afternoon. But Brookside Gardens isn't just about flora; it's also a hub for learning and appreciation of nature. The visitor center provides valuable insights into gardening and conservation, making it an educational experience for all ages. The attention to detail in maintaining this botanical wonderland is commendable. The staff's passion and dedication are evident in the gardens' impeccable upkeep. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer seeking a picturesque backdrop, or simply someone looking for a serene and peaceful retreat, Brookside Gardens is a must-visit destination. It's a place that invites you to connect with the beauty of the natural world and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. I can't recommend it highly enough.”

Anvil Campground

Address: 5243 Mooretown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Our whole family stayed at Anvil in the cabins and a cottage last week for a family trip to Busch Gardens. We were a little shocked just how small this campground was and surprised by the train. However, there are so many reasons why those 2 things do not matter and I would book again. My kids were absolutely OBSESSED with the game room.. and so was I. The staff was a pleasure to communicate with as I enjoyed every interaction with them. Their pet policy and accommodations were perfect and made my first trip with a dog a breeze. It was well maintained and we were very comfortable during our stay in the cottage. Some members of our family were woken up by the train at times, but no one was kept up from it. I personally grew up next to a train so I slept better then I do at home without a train. Our family made beautiful memories. Thanks guys for such a personal and welcoming stay!”
