Bryant Park

Address: New York, NY 10018, USA

“Beautiful little park with plenty of places to sit and soak up the fantastic NYC atmosphere. You can buy food and/or drinks and we just love this gorgeous little park. The public loos are unbelievably beautiful too. There is also a lovely space with a couple of trolleys full of books that anyone (I think) can read and there is a few small sets of children's chairs too. One of the trolleys was full of books for children ♥️🇺🇲”

Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

Address: 3100 Desert Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434, USA

Park

“There's a few ways to access the park, but the most obvious is the rest stop on 17, which brings you right to part of the canal and ranger station. You can do a few public classes at the facility right over the bridge, like tree identification and such. There is small gift shop and interperative center. The park itself has some really interesting history and is a great place for beautiful nature photography, especially with the iconic dark, tannin stained water that gives that mirror reflection. Yes, there's bugs.”

Camp HiYo!

Campground Park Lodging

“I called camp HiYo to get a campsite for myself and my family to watch the eclipse. From the moment I spoke to someone I knew this place was special. They had created additional tent campsites to accomodate extra campers for the eclipse and these campsites were primitive. We knew it would be cold at night and they offered to run an extension cord from a nearby shelter house if we wanted to bring a space heater. Upon arrival we were greated by the nicest staff. Everyone was so friendly. Our site was perfect. Next to the pond and convenient to the shower house. The campground was clean and very well kept. While relaxing one evening our son was playing guitar and singing. Judy, the park manager asked him to come to the pavilion and play for the campground. He did and it was an awesome experience. All of the campers were so welcoming. Afterwards Judy invited him back to play any time. I can not say enough good things about Judy, her staff and Camp HiYo. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this wonderful place of relaxation to everyone we know. I can not imagine spending our eclipse weekend with any other people at any better place. Thank you Judy and Staff at Camp HiYo!”

Fairway Meadows Park

Address: 2230 Woodcrest Dr, Woodbury, MN 55129, USA

“Its a fun place. The playground for younger kids is fun, the baseball field and large field behind it is almost always open to the public, except for when local baseball and football games are being played. The field is mowed frequently. The grass however isn't very green as it is only watered when it rains. Other than that, its a great place!”

Fontenelle Park

Nibley Park

Address: 1103 E Mountain St, Glendale, CA 91207, USA

Park

“A very nice small park with a newer playground, a restroom building, lots of open lawn areas (and picnic tables) and plenty of mature shade trees. The park is also (mostly) enclosed by a wall/fence, which is a nice treat given that most Glendale parks lack fencing. The playground was replaced a few years ago and has plenty of equipment for all ages (though because it has wood chips underneath it certainly is not a universally accessible playground). Street parking only but there is always a spot nearby (they really really need a sidewalk on the park side of the street). The fact it only has a half court basketball court is disappointing. Bathrooms are ok.”

Cloverbrook Park

Address: 7566 Cloverbrook Park Dr, Centerville, OH 45459, USA

Park

“We love being able to walk/scoot/bike to this park while visiting grandparents. There's a nice large walking loop for adults to take advantage of while older kids play. There's a picnic table under a large tree but be aware that that tree is also the only shade! Lightning bugs are numerous at night in nearby natural hedging. Have fun with your family!”

Wolcott Park

“Very nice park. Very peaceful. The jungle gym is a very nice size.”
