“Last year was our first year camping there. Wife and kids love it. The people are nice. It's a place we don't mind letting our kids play freely during the day. Can't wait for this season of camping to start back up.”

“Awesome park with trails and tons of campsites. Dog friendly. Many varieties including primitive, RV, walk ins, sites with posts for hammocks, and more. There are various camping amenities like a camp kitchen, bathrooms, showers, compost toilets, playgrounds, and others. The park has a pretty waterfront area and you can fish. There are scenic bluff overlooks. There's a meeting facility you can rent. Something for everyone. And it's close to several charming small towns and wineries.”

“We spent five nights at the amazing Timmermann House in Aviston, IL. The innkeeper, Sandy is the ultimate professional. Such an authentically nice person. Her husband Andy, also so lovely, has great stories and made me want to sit and talk to him for days!! :) This place is a gem and MUST VISIT destination. The house is pristine and decorated so beautifully. The hard wood floors are immaculate and the bedrooms are super inviting and cozy. The house is a wonderful place to stay but then you go to breakfast and you are transported to culinary heaven. Chef Sandy is brilliant. Her food is perfection. She makes different dishes each day of your stay based on your preferences she obtains when you book your trip. The food is always fresh, mostly from their own garden. I can't even describe how amazing our whole experience was. The house is located very near many townships but it is so quiet and peaceful tucked away on a nice plot of acreage. The yard is massive and landscaped so beautifully. The minute you arrive, everything is just perfect down to every detail. I recommend booking early and request the bedroom with en suite bathroom. The king size bed is so comfortable and the linens / towels are 5 star hotel quality! The house has a beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the yard with shade cover. I could go on and on but really this was the best hospitality we have ever experienced. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend!!!”

“We were a group of women backpacking overnight at Symphony Lake, mostly women over 50. The hike is easy with doable elevation gain, even for those not in shape. The last mile before Symphony Lake is a boulder field. There is somewhat of a trail but climbing over the boulders can be hard on knees and to keep your balance. Bring two walking poles. Keep your eye out for a trail. Also, to avoid the mud, keep watch for trails to your left hiking in. There is one that actually goes up the hillside for a bit. Wear good shoes and expect to get muddy.”

“Could this area be from a foreign planet? This camp spot has NO amenities. The sign on the way in reads ‘no dumping’. The road into the campground is narrow. Big rigs should grab one of the first spots. The further back the spots get smaller. Great sunsets. Low light pollution yields great star views. Several types of cacti here. Like a dense forest. The cholla are the ones to steer clear of. Nasty hooked spines! This is BLM land. As such, there is an active target practice range to the West. If that puts you on edge, best to go elsewhere.”

“Nice place. Great beach. Nice bathrooms. Caretaker Bob was great! Tent area is cool. But sites are close together and it's a narrow spot so you litteraly have to walk through people's campsite to walk to bathroom. But not a huge deal.”

“I love taking my daughter for walks, we usually do two or more laps around the baseball field . Go on the swings where it's safe and stable. Have a nice basketball park. And pool during the summer. I haven't been able to go into the pool, quite yet. But I heard you have to pay two dollars to go in. This is a very safe and fun park. I'm happy they creates this.”

“Rose garden is beautiful in late spring to early summer when roses are in full bloom. Fountain and roses are a nice backdrop for wedding, prom, and homecoming photos. Beach is ok, shallow swimming area with a lifeguard posted during peak season. Sand could be nicer but it is a lake beach. Summer beach volleyball tournaments are held here. Also a good spot to watch storms out over the lake.”

“Nice park but small. About 0.75 mile walk around the lake on a gravel/packed dirt path. 3 water fountains in the lake. A few nice spots to sit and relax by the water. Small playground right by the parking lot. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.”

“Dan, and his crew of employees at KOA Hogback, were possibly the friendliest, and most helpful campground crew that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the moment we showed up we were greeted with smiles, and were offered helpful hands with the vehicle issues that we were having. The team even assisted getting our camper put onto our site, while our vehicle was out of commission. The KOA company must have good hearts, as multiple times during our stay, there were (no pressure) fundraisers, for terminally ill children. These included 50/50 raffles, and pancake breakfasts. It definitely warms the heart. During the entire duration of our stay, the family was never lacking things to do. From swimming, to arts and crafts, and even live music, the campground is definitely a step above the rest. It was a pleasure camping at the KOA Hogback, and I already have my next trip there scheduled.”

“What a wonderful amenity area! Long Lake Ranch won the 2015 Tampa Bay's Best Community. I see why and I ❤ selling homes in here. The community is in the epicenter of the Lutz area. When I popped by the amenity center today, there were residents and their families enjoying every amenity... tennis, basketball, playgrounds, running trail, lakes, pools, and the dog park.”

“Very nice. Something about the surrounding neighborhood gives this playground a great feel. It's walk in, like most and I don't think it gets too windy there because of its low area surrounded by nice backyards. I think there is a 2-5 playground and a 5 and up.”

“Our experience was phenomenal!!! All the staff were amazing and the atmosphere was out of this world. The food app was amazing we didnt have to wait in line for our food, we loved the nachos and dipping dogs. My children had so much fun that we try to go every friday. The live band and movie is such an amazing idea and we consider it family time. The music the DJ played was great it definitely took us back in time and my children loved it. We enjoyed our day and cant wait to come back!”

“My family and I went to Canyon lake and had a good time. It wasn't crowded and it felt like we were on a real out of state vacation. The water was blue and the white rocks gave the lake a really good resort vibe. The drive into Canyon lake was also so beautiful. You see houses on hills. If you are ever traveling to the San Antonio area you have to go here.”
