“Coopers Rock State Forest is a gorgeous, free and special place to visit! The restrooms are clean, the Trading Post shop is cute with lots of options for souvenirs and the overlook is out of this world. It's a brief two minute walk from the main parking lot and maybe 5 minutes from the overflow lots if you're there on a busy day. Our GPS took us to the Ranger/Administration offices, but a ranger helped us get to the forest and it was really easy from there. There is an Almost Heaven swing for photos, which was a really nice treat since we're from Maryland and may not see one of these again for a long time. The overlook is gorgeous. Not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers unless you have strong people in your group to assist you. Its views are unbelievably spectacular and watching birds fly calmly while looking down at the gorgeous valley really brought a sense of peace. It's a very special place.”

“I was bowled over by how much amazing wildlife was just off the road and I had no idea! A road is available that takes visitors all along the banks of the Fresno Slough. My first visit offered yucky looking swamp water unsuitable to maintain life. My second visit was a waterway providing recreational activities for boaters/fishermen, lots of pullouts for drivers to park and enjoy the nature areas, and was now home to thick, bright green lilypads creating a carpeting for fish, amazing birdwatching sots, and my very favorite sights: tall, thin, sleek, dark-colored and bright white storks!! I urge anyone who doesn't get much nature exposure to come out. The main shack is standing, but No one is collecting fees, so once you drive by it, the fun begins. Be aware the dirt road is very curvy and often rough. If you find yourself finding a spot to park and take it on by foot, I think that might be even better (a warning sign for rattlesnakes is attached to the ticket office, so keep eyes and ears open!!).”

“We were traveling from Michigan to Georgia and neede one night to rest. We had made reservations a few days ahead . Due to traffic we were running late for ck in. With minits to spare we were met by a very friendly lady. She explained the map and campground to us. We found our camp spot Got hucked up and settled for the night. Up early and back on the rd. Your campground was super. Level pull through lots. Very clean and quiet. We will be back. Thank you”

“We stopped by Kings Park after reading about its biking / walking trails, on line. Kings Park is a 240-acre community / river park located on Merritt Island and is primarily a wetland preserve and a great place for a hike or ride and viewing nature. The park was fairly secluded and had a large parking area and restroom. We road the Island Pioneer Trail which is an easy 2.7-mile out-and-back paved trail, which took us about a half hour, with plenty of stops to take photos. We did not encounter many other people while exploring. The trail winds through the hammocks and between two small lakes. We saw numerous birds and even an alligator. Road this trail again. One of our favorite short, nature, bike trails in the area. It appears they cut some of the scrub away, in areas, and it makes viewing of the surrounding waterways more visible. The park is accessible from both Chase Hammock Road on the North and Hall Road on the South, with plenty of parking and rest rooms at each end.”

“Took my dog Doniboy,it was just before a storm,no one else was there. I went there twice this last week n it was really warm water the first time after it had rained the night before n the second time was earlier in the morning n was a chilly night n the water was a bit colder but tolerable because I was getting in it regardless n I swam out to the end of the swim area n back paddled all the way back I love that lake n park I have been going there for 61 years now since I was around 4-5 years old so quiet n spacious”

“We are from out of town and brought our two kids and family. I loved that it was fenced in (despite the hole that I hope will be fixed...) And my 16 month old and almost 6 year old had so much fun playing on the big and little equipment. Having the little garden within the playground is sweet too. I love that the kids can play music creatively while also running around playing and climbing! We will definitely come back.”

I asked Vince if he can do something for my family to utilize the backyard and he came back to me in couple of days with a beautiful plan. The work took a little longer but he and his workers transformed it to a gorgeous backyard where we spend a lots of time. “This is a nice park in a great location! My 2 year old and four year old really enjoyed playing here. It has a smaller playground shaped like a pirate ship and a larger playground. It’s shady and has plenty of walking trails with nice bridges over the creek. The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no playground material on the ground, it’s just dirt and weeds. With there only being dirt, there were a lot of large ant beds in the play areas and the playground equipment is covered in dirt/mud. This is fine for kids but it’d be a lot more enjoyable if the play areas had some kind of ground cover.”

“The Island itself is great for those that love nature or wine. Not a party island so take your alcoholism elsewhere. The State park is also great if you enjoy true camping with plenty of nature and water access to lake Erie. Trails and a beach highlight the access. The Glacial grooves are definitely worth seeing and makes you feel like you are taken back to a different time seeing all of the layers of rock.”

“Two sheltered picnic areas with nicely maintained public restrooms and electrical outlets (where phones can be charged!) make this neat little rest stop a necessity on the lovely Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail between Mankato and Waterville. The tiny downtown area (in which the City Hall's located) about a block away is likewise a delightful place to explore on foot, featuring several rather inviting food and drink options as well as a post office and some decidedly affordable shopping. Convenience store goods may be easily had at the Casey's gas station, just across the highway.”

“It was a great time, there's a nice food stand to get some snacks and drinks, there's some much space to walk around great for bike riding and you could also rent a family bike too! The barn though, the times are very unconvenient, the times are 11:00AM-3:00PM. The park great, there's a lot to do, but they remove and ban from u climbing the cave there it's a shame really. Again it's a really go place for exercise or for family, 4 stars”

“What a great experience to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!!!! They have truly thought of everything you could want for glamping & then some. Welcome snacks, coffee, tea, heaters (it was actually chilly when we visited), heated towel rack!!! Especially liked that a few days before our visit a member of the team reached out to let us know they would help us with whatever we needed before & during our visit. Happy to report that we had absolutely no complaints or issues. Just some beautiful views for coffee time & sunset. Highly recommend!!!”
