“This was our second time camping here. We enjoyed our time there. The people who camp here are very nice the camp hosts were kind. The campgrounds are always so clean when we get there. There wasn't a lot of people in the area we were in so it was nice a quiet. The camping spot we were at was spacious and the bathroom was close. We really enjoy our time at St. Francois.”

“The park is great for walking, running, jogging and biking. The trail meets up with Goudy Park. On the other side of Goudy Park is Washington Trail. All told, just using that length, there is a mile long trail. If you head off further East into Dynamite Park which starts where Mill Trail leaves off you can enjoy up to a five mile hike, though, once in Dynamite Park the trail is only suitable for hiking or crosscountry biking. Off of Mill Trail area also walking trails that lead down to the river. Use caution as the area is wild and untended when off trail. This is a great dog walk.”

“Excellent, and challenging disc golf course. Bring a retrieving pole, it’ll be a life saver. It’s a very wooded course, with lots of narrow runs. It’ll force you to focus, and not just power through tees.”

“This is a wonderful campground immediately off of the Blue Ridge mountain Parkway. Not only are the views fantastic from the campground but the sites are very spacious. Spaced out well and provide great privacy. The restrooms were very clean and they provided free washer and dryer. Each site had a nice picnic table and a fire ring. Definitely planning on returning to this great campground in the future.”

“As to Ms Scionti's review... Daniel Park has had a swim team for 6 years without a single traffic incident. There are only 3home meets a year, so hardly a regular inconvenience. The team is a very bright spot for the community involving over 30% of the families living in Daniel Park. The Team is the current Gwinnett County Champions. Great fun...Parking is limited on the main road to one side and Gwinnett County Police patrol the streets on meet nights for parking violations. With that said, Daniel Park is a very nice place to live and a nice size. With only 330 homes, it is small'ish compared to many of the surround monster communities. When Halloween comes, one would think you are strolling down Main Street DisneyWorld with so many children enjoying the fun. We have lived here 9yrs and wouldn't move anywhere else in the area....”

“Golden Eagle was our first stop on our camping journey through Colorado with our bumper pull camper. Knowing where to turn and go is a little challenging in the dark so I definitely recommend arriving while the sun is up. Upon arrival we stopped to read the Map where a group of camp hosts were sitting. No one at that stop offered to help. However, as we rounded to the next road there was a lady that met us and who was extremely helpful and nice. The campground itself is pretty nice. There's a dog park and a lake with plenty of wildlife to see. The actual lots are not really even so leveling everything up took extra time. Overall the campground is nice and we would stay here again.”

“They've updated the playground with a new playset. It would be nice if they made the play area a little bigger and added some more things for the kids to do. Besides that it's pretty much a place to walk the track and have your kids ball games there every now and again. They do keep the upkeep up on it which is a plus.”

“Came to the park , It’s not busy in fall and saw a buck and his family!!! (See photos). This park has nice big grass and dirt trails with water and sand dunes. There’s a slough or creek where your dog can have the best time. Swim , sniff and run. There are wildlife all over, cougars and coyotes. So leash them up if you don’t want to spend hour or two looking for your dog. ( like i do every time but i have a Great Pyrenees who can take care of himself mostly. The park rangers will reprimand you , promises of a fine but for the joy my dog gets it’s worth $95. He’s happy here unlike any other park. wild sniffs that’s my guess!”

“Great park for concerts --- perfect stage! Great views from everywhere! Just pick a good concert! I went to see a 50-60's band, and lo and behold --- I have never seen that many septuagenarians in my life! And a third of them were on the dance floor! It was like they were filming Cocoon 2! And I think I saw Hume Cronin and Jessica Tandy, by gosh! #lovemesomeoldpeople #butnotthatmany”

“We went to Mahoney State Park on a recommendation from a woman we met from Nebraska. Huge state park and lots of open space. Would recommend but just know it’s about 37/night without hook ups. A bit pricey but really great state park.”

“This skate park was dope. i loved the elbow and the little half pipe in the corner and the tall quarter gets you going. the only thing i don’t like is sometimes the office doesn’t pick up or the shed doesn’t pick up. What i LOVE about it is that there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. 10 dollar entrance fee tho. overall great park!”

“This baseball park is amazing! It's partially funded by local municipalities, but many small businesses, such as Blackburn's BBQ, also sponsor the youth baseball teams.”

“We had a fantastic time staying for 5 days at Lago Linda Hideaway! Most campgrounds in the area are first come first served, but our group had seven people with 3-4 vehicles and a travel trailer coming from three different states on a holiday weekend so we preferred to reserve our sites to assure we could be close together. Unfortunately, a turn in the weather caused a few people in our group to cancel, but despite the weather, the remaining members of our group had a great time hanging out at camp and driving into Red River Gorge to climb and hike. The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. We were able to switch sites easily (and we reimbursed the difference) since we had a smaller group. The cafe/store had ice cream, water, snacks, ice, firewood and served meals at a reasonable price. We used the Shakeout Shack and pavilion quite a bit to cook, play board games and hide from the rain. We also took advantage of the laundry room to wash our wet clothes after getting drenched, but when the clouds cleared there was plenty to keep us occupied right at camp. We brought our inflatable paddle boards but it was a haul for us to bring them down the slope to the lake. If staying at one of the lakeside cabins, we definitely would have taken the time to use them. Instead, a couple from our group borrowed kayaks available for use at the dock. On Saturday night we ate food we bought at the cafe and listened to live music on the deck. The showers and restrooms were decent but I think it would be a bonus to have another restroom or pit toilets near sites #1, 2 and 3, because it's a long walk to the bathhouses. I definitely recommend this campground to anyone visiting the Red River Gorge or even just wanting a nice retreat from home.”
