Wiseman Park (Winchester, KY)

Address: 155 Holiday Rd Spur, Winchester, KY 40391, USA

“Nice park to get a way from the crowds. No one is ever at this park. Only problem is the upkeep isn’t the best. Usually higher grass and weeds on park area. Watch out for wet spots in the grass due to the creek. Overall a great park and the kids like it.”

Project Eden Community Garden

Address: Owens Blvd, Richardson, TX 75081, USA

Park

“This place is really neat. I drove by and talked with a few ladies working on their garden. Its a community garden ran by the church. The beds are rented for $30/yr. They had a lot of nice stuff growing. I saw kale, spinach, Swiss chard, lots of onions and garlic beets asparagus, purple asparagus, and lots of other cool season crops. Some people had started on their summer beds, saw a few tomatoes, herbs and peppers. How do I reserve a bed?”

Northridge Recreation Center

Address: 18300 Lemarsh St, Northridge, CA 91324, USA

Park

“Nice Park. Relaxing, but really the only downside is that there are so many holes in the ground that are quite deep and I almost rolled my ankle a few times because of the fact that there is so many deep holes and a lot of them are hidden by grass. We were playing between the tennis courts and the baseball field and there were quite a few holes. Needs to be patched up so no one hurts themselves.”

Earth Works Plant Nursery

Address: 12501 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32246, USA

“We haven’t had to buy tomatoes in months, our plants grew over 5ft tall, made the most delicious bruschetta, even got into making my own hot sauce (fermented). We went chemical pesticide free and have tremendous yields with our herbs: basil, oregano and rosemary. Mari H has been amazing! My son and I love learning from Mari and team and look forward to our visits.”

Natural Water Slides

Address: PA-381, Ohiopyle, PA 15470, USA

Park

“Super cool natural water feature. It was a bit chilly to get in the water the day we visited, but this would be an absolute blast on a hot day. It’s also just beautiful. The full slide is definitely more intimidating, but there are plenty of calmer spots of water for younger kids to play in at the top and bottom. Parking can get tight, especially in the afternoons and on the weekends. Would definitely get here early if it’s a nice day.”

Jackie's Place RV Resort

Address: 701 Gordy Rd, Bacliff, TX 77518, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“The park is located close enough to Space Center Houston, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston, etc to make it a good location for exploring Houston. It does have level concrete pads for both the RVs and tow cars. It has a bit of a sterile feel to it with so much concrete and nearly no trees inside the park. The area has a lot of road construction and traffic so plan to bring your patience.”

Stafford Park

Address: Hopkins Avenue &, 50 King St, Redwood City, CA 94062, USA

Park

“Love this park! There is a walk path to get to both the park and toddler park. I really like how the toddler park is gated so that any dogs, or balls don't affect the tiny ones. Lots of parking around the park, it is in a nice quiet neighborhood. There is a water fountain that is on some times for the kids to play in. A nice big area for everyone to share to kick a ball around or play catch. They also have public restrooms and tables to picnic at. I've come to this park since I was a kid, I definitely recommend it.”

Eagle lake park

Graceland RV Park & Campground

Address: 3691 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38116, USA

Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“We stayed here with 3 kids and a dog. The people in the office were really friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for walking across the parking lot to Graceland. The added fun of having a clean pool to cool off in as well as a clean picnic area to eat at while listening to The King himself made this the perfect place for us to stay!”

Butler State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area

Address: Latham, KS 67072, USA

Park

“A BIG , FIX THE ROAD !! Bridge out and road closed.. Detour is treacherous and unforgiving. To one of the only places left in Kansas where you can camp for free, and even stay a little while. Most camping starts at $12.00 and up daily. Not for me,! If i wanted to rent, I'd rent a two bedroom, get a dog, and sit infront of the TV all day.”

River Parks

Address: Riverside Dr, Tulsa, OK 74105, USA

Park

“Love coming here to ride my bike. The trails are decent, the view is nice, the only irritation is with people not knowing how to share the bike lanes. People walking in the bike lanes or taking up the whole lane, it's very dangerous. Other than that the staff is usually pretty good about keeping this place up to spec. The gathering is a really cool place, they've done an amazing job over the last couple years rebuilding this park. I really enjoy coming and spending the day riding. They have a park for kids as well.”

Murfreesboro Community Garden

Address: 806 E State St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130, USA

Park

“I love this place going there with my daughter picking veggies it's a place I grew up at and played as a kid going there as a adult with my kids is fun... good walking trails around also very safe family environment”

Hollywood Reservoir

Address: 90068, Reservoir St, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA

Park

“Peaceful and beautiful place for a hike. The drive up to the reservoir is quite narrow and not for the faint of heart. I’d recommend taking a smaller car. Parking can be hard during peak hours.”

Joanne R. Levin Park

Address: 1600 W 26th St, Minneapolis, MN 55405, USA

Park

“Fun little park, though my kids were a little young for the cool climbing bump things. Bees/wasps were all over the hot sand so we needed to avoided the sand in general. A few tables under tree shade which was nice for a picnic. Favorite play thing was the bouncy seesaw thing and the little car left by neighbors.”

Mojave National Preserve

Address: 90942 Kelso Cima Rd, Essex, CA 92332, USA

Park

“It was one of the best places I've ever visited. So other-worldly, remote and unique. It was 100F with no cars or people anywhere around. There are no services for the length of this park, so ensure you have water, food, and toilet paper! I was lucky enough to be there when the desert plants were in bloom. Extraordinary beauty in infinite dusty beige fields of sand with tufts of grey-green foliage. The main road takes you through the changing desert landscape, moving from lush shrubs, Joshua trees, and various cacti through to true barren desert dunes (Kelso) and blackened hills. Would 100% do this again if ever back here.”

Hinckley Township Sledding Hill

Address: Hinckley, OH 44233, USA

Park

“Probably the best public sledding hill in the greater Cleveland area. It's long and has a pretty decent pitch so you can get rippin on a good day. The moguls always come into play here. Because the hill is a little more on the narrow side, good luck avoiding them lol Given how bumpy the hill is in the middle and how many people are there, collisions usually can come into play. It's not a bad idea for the little ones to sport a helmet to be on the safe side.”

North Rockland trail Club

Address: 81 Central Hwy, Garnerville, NY 10923, USA

Park

Silver Springs Park

Address: 5238 Young Rd, Stow, OH 44224, USA

Park

“I take my dogs here all the time. The dog park is large and fenced in, giving them plenty of space to run unrestricted. The pond in the center is deep enough that dogs can swim if they want, but it has a fairly low slope at the edges so they can just wade. There is a separate, fenced off area for small dogs and puppies, and an airlock style double gate to make sure all the dogs stay in their designated areas. The grass is well kept, and the sandy beach area always has plenty of tennis balls laying around if your dog is inclined to play fetch.”

Mud Lake Access Site

Address: Clear Lake Rd, Chelsea, MI 48118, USA

Park

“I am 68 years old, and my father used to take my younger brother and I here when we were little. I hike the Waterloo area a lot, and was surprised when I found the old Mud Lake site. I was amazed at how the much the damn had shrunken since I was a child. It is a nice place to spent a lazy afternoon, and in my case brought back memories of a loving father.”
